Mappi75: Don't forget:

you can change the perfomance/speed ingame in the option menu!

During the beginning of the game i set the slowest speed available,
later i use the normal speed - but most time i use one step slower.
It's got nothing to do with the performance as it should be.
Aye. The higher speed setting still run faster. However by "sluggish" I mean a poor frame rate and the game becomes less responsive. For example, the screen scrolls at a much slower and somewhat stuttery rate when it passes over a section of the hospital with several rooms and people. It doesn't even have to be a particularly crowded section. The mouse's movement also feels sluggish and clicking certain things becomes a hassle.
I too am getting very noticeable performance probelms. Scrolling around the hospital seems to make both animations and my music juddery. If anyone could shed any light on a possible solution, that would make me a happy hospital administrator.
Same problem here. Want it fixed pronto.
Alright, I think I have it figured out. The frame rate is too high, which causes the game to wig out a bit.

I encountered this on Deus Ex:HR too oddly enough, and installed a frame rate limiter for my specific video card. This is probably the best way to go right off the bat, but there are other third party apps that will do this as well, i'm sure.

When I limited the FR to 60, the stuttering problem and lagging disappeared for me. Hope the best for the rest of you on this as well.
How to find such a program?
The only solution too the problem I have is that you switch from high res too mcga lo-res in the game via the display button. But that is if you can handle the poor graphics as a result. I hope GOG will fix this becous this is really annoying, this is the second game I buy that is from EA and Bullfrog (Dungeon keepers) That have the very same problem.
I have the same issue, upping this so GOG will look into the problem.
I have the problem as well. I have played with a lot of the options in the config file, but nothing seems to work.

It's like running it on a slow 486 or something.
Just chiming in - I have this issue too. Very frustrating, game not really playable in this state.
I wish GOG devs would look here and decide to solve it...
I also have the problem. Very sluggish scrolling performance running the game in a Pentium M, with integrated Intel graphics.
I've send an email to GOG Devs. I hope it will help us.
The problem for me is the movement of the models. They are extremely slow and sluggish. In the 1st level it was fine, but in level 2 they are moving like i'm running a windows95 machine with 10mb ram.
Be patient guys, a litlle bird told me that they're working on this. I hope our problems will be over soon :o)
