Thanks for this program it's great.
For those backing up their save files, WinRAR works like magic. At the end of the game, my save folder was 2.97GB. WinRAR compressed that down to 205MB. Since I don't need 251 saves, I picked out 12 to use for DLC and the last one for potential future importing. (winrar: 151mb->11.1mb)

Course, I'll probably end up playing through again before TW3 if they make it. Especially since I missed the side quests in the prologue.
Hi ilmara, thanks for your effort.

Just want to highlight that the Date and Size are in the wrong columns. :P
You can refer to the screenshot.

No biggie though.

Oops, seems I didn't check everything as carefully as I thought. I'll fix this tonight.
A new version is available :

* Fix incorrect order of columns
* Add option to delete savegame using the Windows trash (so you can undo the deletion)
* Add option to check savegame on select
* You can select a range of savegame using shift+click
Nice, but ain't it possible to add the screens of quiksaves as well?

Cause during the game, before important or notewhorty events i always F5, instead of going to the menu and saving.... Thus i can't really see what i may be deleting. If you could add this , this program would be pure gold.

I still wonder though, why the savefiles need to be that big (4-6 mb) in contrast with other games. I already have 1.6 gig worth of savegames ALONE. Lol
Nice Job!!!
I just cleared 600MB from my HD. :)
Thanks, it's rather disappointing that such otherwise good games can have such basic flaws.

One thing though about the Witcher 1 app, it doesn't display the image for the save games making it no better than using Explorer. If you could bring up the image for it's saves like with the Witcher 2 app then it would be nice.
Anyway to delete the save screenshots as well? I went back to the saves folder and noticed I still had a ton of previously deleted saves screen caps still in the folder.

Otherwise great app!
Awesome program, I really appreciate your hardwork and thoughtfulness

ilmara: Hello,

* You can now manage Witcher 1 savegame too
* Display version in title bar
* Source are available if anyone want to check I don't do anything naughty

I haven't been able to reproduce this, are you using the regular US regional settings?
avatar
SheBear: I would assume so. The game regional settings or the manager's settings? The manager I can't see where to set those parameters, and in the game I'm pretty sure it is US regional settings (though again, I don't know where to specifically check this. It came with all of the english speech and subtitles, and is American english not British english).
Thank you very much for such a good and useful utility. I have already saved several gigs of space on my harddrive and also am able to keep up with my game better because I don't have to go through more saves. I love your utility and was compelled to post a thank you.
THANK YOU!
From someone who just backed-up/sorted through 3.2GB of save files - thank you. It was a breeze to figure out which ones I wanted to keep and which went to the trash.

Any chance of adding the name of the save, and not just the number and the pic? most of the autosaves use the same picture, and alI I want to save is the last autosave when the game is finished. In the game it uses the name of the quest you were on as the title of the save, making it easier to determine if it's the last save.
Remeber last window size would be great.
