Neat! Thank you, this certainly make things better.
Thanks for that! :)

ilmara: Hello,

I heard some of you complain about the size the savegame directory grew to during the course of the game. I've created a small utility which will allow you to scan, preview and delete or backup a set of savegame to free up some space on your computer.
to work on it a bit more. Contact information are included in the archive if needed.
Not a bad utility. I'll be honest though. If the file sizes are half of what The Witcher is, then there's really less of a worry overall, atleast in my case. I just finished a full witcher play and it came out at nearly 10gb worth of saves(539 in total), mostly using quicksave which makes a new save every time. Now I just need to figure out why Witcher2 is using my roaming profile to store saves instead of my documents.

Thanks for doing the job that the developers didn't think of doing.

I've already started cleaning out the save folder manually, but you deserve a BIG THANK YOU for your work and community spirit! :)
afternoon bump.
seeing the chapter 1 is brutal interms for combat I dont want to go through it again unleveled.
And I have heard that based on actions in chapter 1, chapter 2 might be in different locations.

So I can atleast save at critical points.

BTW can anybody compile a non spoiler list of critical saves
Awesome!

Was already manually deleting and it was a chore.

Thanks a ton!
Looks handy, was manually backing up and manually deleting them.

Also so far the antivirus hasn't detected anything with this program apart from Symantec alert.

I don't know what this alert was, but I can assure I haven't added any malicious code (I can even share the code with you if you want)

I've also uploaded a new version with a handful of new features :
* Display progress for savegame backup
* List of savegame is sortable by name, size or date
* Set options :
- Disable confirmation
- Autodetect or manually set savegame directory
- Backup only savegame but do not delete them (useful to exchange savegame
with your friends)
- Set the default backup directory to easily backup savegames

Thanks for the kind words too people, it's much appreciated. :)

Nice!

Oh about the Sysmantec,it didn't detect a malicious software it was only stating that this file hasn't been submitted for review by user's.

It's a extra step from Sysmantec that does this,it no biggie.

Here's the info about it.

The software is fine, and very helpful. Your AV is just being a spazz.
Now, if only CDP can implement this cool utility to be accessed WITHIN the actual game. :P
This is great, thank you!
Thank-you ilmara [pat on the back].
Witcher2_Save_Cleanup is a very polished portable program.
