Tried the suggestion in this thread and these others and i still cant get it to work:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/witcher_1_saves_not_available_despite_them_being_in_default_location/?search=import
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/question_for_those_with_save_import_issues

They load up fine in the Wither EE that i have installed. Running Win7 64-bit as well. I also tried replaceing the folder and putting the saves in the Witcher 2 folder. Nothing works. Always says The witcher saves unavailable, information will not be imported.

Any ideas?
Downloaded and loaded bummlmitz save and it worked. Really starting to Drive me nuts that i cant get mine to load.

Bodkin: This, but with Shani instead of Triss. Is there someone?
Yes please.
bummlmitz' save works, unlike the 200 odd other saves I have...
For those who've imported, what did you get?

Some people mentioned they got like 5 skillpoints....I got none
I'm still having this issue. Has anyone had any success?
I'm into something...

I located the problem for MY SAVES (don't know if it could be the same problem for you).

It the quest "Ashes of Vizima". It's state don't change accordingly to the game plot (after i beat the Grand Master and return to the cloister, just before talking to dandelion and ending the game, i get the quest in the state "I need to enter the cloister etc etc".

I try to unpack my savegames and the one from the guy in this post and swap the file "q6001_wyzim.qst" of my saves with the one from bummlmitz's savegame..and it works.

I'm just testing if i could manage to "unbug" that quest doing again the epilogue.
Yes, i solved it playing again The Epilogue.
In my case was a bugged quest, "Ashes of Vizima".

Try to load you last save in "The Witcher" (possibily the one you would use) and check on the wiki if there some quest still active or stuck in a particular phase also if you have finished them, and try to play again that part.

Considering I didn't bother replacing my weapons and armor till well past the halfway point in the game, I'm probably not going to use an import for my second playthrough. I can't say that there was much in game that alluded to anything in it; it was more like cheat mode to make you better than you should be for a good chunk of the game. :p
I wasn't sure if it even did anything. I imported my save but I am not sure what it changed. My character is still all into Triss and such in The Witcher 2 even though we definitely didn't get along in Witcher.
I went with the other chick, are you just defaulted to Triss either way?

There were a handful, if that, NPC interactions that I'm pretty sure resulted from the import. Other than that, I have a hard time coming up with anything that the import affected. Again, making you far stronger than you should be for half the game was the real impact, imo, so I'm not likely to bother importing again.

If you side with the Order in the first game, there is a pretty notable game "changer" (read: changes the method of completing a quest, not the outcome) in Chapter 3 but the rest all seems to be people referencing your earlier deads. One nice touch was people calling you the "Butcher of the Outskirts" as they pass you in the street if you rescue Abigail in the first game.
