Import theoretically works for me, but the only end savegame I found is one I definitely don't want to use for the first playthrough.

Now they said over and over again that we could answer some questions about our decisions in TW1, if we lacked the savegames. Yet the only option I have is to start new game with default options. Where is the other feature they promised?

metsapeikko: FlashXAron that solution didn't work for me, but then again, my saves were in the right place to begin with.
oooh sorry for you it worked for me ...

so for me it was only to move them to the directory, where it put the new "Witcher 2" directory ... after that the game allowed me to click at my saved games from "Witcher" ... Witcher was even never installed on my Win7 , as I played it in 2007 ...

maybe you have to consider that you have to USE the same LANGUAGE settings ...
as I played it in german in 2007 , I started Witcher 2 also in German ?
I just re-played the epilogue in Witcher 1 last night because I wanted to make a different decision.

When I booted up Witcher 2, it recognized my old saves from last year, but not the one I just made last night. Looking through the directory, it seems the game restarted the number series so my newest save is like 0003 - Order of the Flaming Rose.

But shouldn't the game recognize it regardless of what arbitrary number it uses? Even if I remove the old saves that can be imported, it still doesn't recognize the new ones.
My Order of the Flaming Rose save is 0003 as well.

And Witcher 2 thinks it doesn't exist, like yours.
Sucks I can't play Witcher 2 until this Save Import gets fixed.

Edit: Found fix through the forums, save in Ice Fields and it will work.

Can I haz the save game with the raven armor, the lady of the lake silver sword, and the ending in which Geralt sides with the King's forces?

I'm not sure what you mean by "siding with the King's forces", but I got that save with the neutral (witcher's) path. (not siding with the order nor Scoia'tael)
I could upload this in about an hour. Gotta do some work first. :(

Much appreciated friend. Any save game will do, as long as the raven armor and the lady of the lake silver sword is there. Thank you, thank you.
Importing saves from the first Witcher game
up

The Witcher 2 will automatically import the saves from the end of the first Witcher game only if they are located in the default folder:
...\My Documents\The Witcher\saves
Does that work if haven't finished the first game yet?
I'm having the same problem. Finished save of the neutral Path in The Witcher, in the correct file location but Witcher 2 says there is nothing.

Win 7 here too. I've tried installing the game in seperate locations as well (in case it was the locked program files directory) but it doesn't make any difference.
Here you go.

Neutral Path
freed Adda from her curse
werwolf lives
chose Triss
Raven's Armor (made by Kalkstein)
Silver Sword from the Lady of the Lake ( can't remember the name)
Sword from King Foltest

No, since the Witcher 2 should be looking for Order of the Flaming Rose (autosave) in particular.

Edit; Which just happens to be the last autosave in the whole game.

This, but with Shani instead of Triss. Is there someone?
I managed to get my save games to show up. I do not have the Witcher installed so I created the folders.

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\The Witcher\saves

Copied all my old saves there. I get the option to select save "310 - Ice Plains"
Looking at my files.

"000003 - Order of the Flaming Rose (autosave)-297"
"000310 - Ice Plains-299"

In my game files 000003 & 000004 are autosave files.
conffirm just copy files to location and everything is ok. OOO restart game that what help me .
