topeira: keep this wonderful thread alive. i wish i t was stickied since mods will keep on showing up.

p.s. - where can we ask for mods?
personally i'd love a blocking mod where it takes less vigor to block, so instead of being able to block 2 hits i can block more. like 3 or 4.
and better than that - a way to stop an attack mid-sway to block.
There's a thread for collecting mod ideas. I'm not sure if any of the modders are actually looking in there (or if they're busy doing stuff they themselves deem necessary for now), but at least it's kind of a central spot for that.

Wow, this is great, I didn't think modders would get going so early.

How about a mod for us lame old people that doubles the allowable response time for QTE's? This would make many happy players.

It's a lot of fiddling to get simple things done.

For textures, you need a tool to extract all the files, another tool to convert the textures to a regular format (DDS) and a BIN file (which contains extra info) combined with a script telling the tool how to do this. Then you have to save as a TGA file, put the BIN file next to it, run another script and have it be combined into the original texture type again (XBM). A lot of work for a simple texture change. In The Witcher you had straight texture files (DDS) and that was it.

I'm a pretty bad player BUT the QTE is working for me...I do have the difficulty option OFF though.. as I have posted elsewhere I run my game on a much lower res(black bars all around -cause I have a large screen) and now the QTE's aren't so scattered on the screen. Hope that helped. ( I also rebooted to clear the memory cache so the options stick)
Mods already? I'm impressed! Thank you so much for compiling this list, and many thanks to the modders who made them.
Nice !

Messaged a Mod about stickying this.
Incredible how fast people came with the first mods. This should be sticky, I agree.

Any chance for a saved game editor or something like this?
Bump for the awesomeness of this thread.
The Witcher franchise community, including devs, rocks.
Awesome. I was hoping one of these threads would pop up, so much better than having to search for mods just because somebody doesn't like them. Thanks!
full of awesomeness
