You find a fix yet?

Falcon2045: OK, now, why is there nVidia Vision Surround support with Patch v1.1, but no AMD Eyefinity support?

This is getting ridiculous...

Amon_Amarth: Well, even with Nvidia Surround, the game insists on keeping 3x 16:9 monitors. This, if your running 3x 16:10 (or even worse, 3x 4:3/5:4), you get these nice black bars on the top and bottom, that runs over to all three monitors.
There's a tool available which enables widescreen in Witcher 2. But is has some issues, but it works...

The Flawless WS tool works fine, but this is just a workaround, no definite fix for the "problem".

lukaszthegreat: no its not. give it at least one more patch before going into ridiculous mode.
May I call it ridiculous now, as 1.2 patch didn't change anything on this?

yes.

first patch is reserved for game breaking bugs.

second patch should add options like support for multi display setups especially since we are talking here about pc exclusive game.

but that ain't an issue i would have if i was you. more pissed i would be at those pesky poles that they didn't say anything about whether tw2 will support or not multi display setup.

i hate that. not giving any answer and keeping quite. even simple 'we don't know at the moment' would be better than keeping quite.

but yeah. you are now allowed to be in 'that's ridiculous' mode

Yep, the worst thing is, there are no official news about this. It's OK, if it takes another or two patches if it gets fixed... But hopefully it gets fixed!

The thing I would call ridiculous is the official support for nVidia Vision (3D) Surround, but not for Eyefinity. That's unfair business. Typical nVidia.

ArnoldJ.Rimmer: games still dont fully utilise things like directx or tesselation etc, even after all these years,...and people expect eyefinity to be used/implemented ?

just because its supposed to be a feature the card makers thought would take off, doesnt mean it will.

and not every gamer wants to buy 3 monitors to get a wider screen to a game.
i still remeber how long 4:3 15" monitors were the rage.

what we usually do is buy a bigger monitor or just plug the hdmi lead into a big screen tv ;)
lets leave them fixing the overall problems before asking them to start adding a feature only 0.001% will use.

begin the hate replys now if you please....lol

ps..my auto vac says it can clean the corners of the carpet on the box...it fecking doesnt !
and my mrs promised to "obey" in her wedding vows...she fecking doesnt !!!!
First, you're a moron. All games implement and support DX. All of them. Even OpenGL games have to have DX native support built into them nowadays. It's mandatory. One hand helps the other so to speak. Secondly, according to Steam's user profile management data screen (and this is only Steam's available numbers) the user percentage for dual or triple monitors hovers around 10%. 10% out of 2 million is 200k. That's about as many people as bought the Witcher 2 so far. So before you start spouting off at the mouth with things you obviously don't even have any knowledge of, you will get the flamers because you speak of things that you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
Amen ;)

Pittyh: I find it disgraceful that a game touted as being pc only and not a dumbed down console port, wouldn't support eyefinity or triple monitors, hell even the withcer 1 worked.

I won't even play it if doesn't support eyefinity, so i guess i just wasted $50

it's funny, because most games nowadays support triple monitors.

What good is all the glorious uber gfx if it only works on 1 monitor jeeez.

Oh well back to RIFT, at least eyefinity works there.
Rift is fun, but it is no Witcher 2. A lot of people are having good luck using the flawless widescreen fix. I myself, am not having any luck because of the "infamous" white lines, but you should try it if you have not already.
