I didn't had any option. Geralt said "No" both of them. But problem is solved with the two file. Now I have option dialogue.

It was the same problem that australian's version but hooker can be pay for sex.

I don't know if in France the game is censored like australia.

Shouldn't be. Good thing all versions are the same now anyway ^.^
What's the deal with the removed scenes now that 2.0 is out, does this patch in any way restore our AU versions to normal (uncensored) and/or do the replacement files still work?

I'm still a bit upset I ended up with the AU version : ( lol

So am I, I only found out after I bought the game that all I had to do was change my location. I did however "find" a download for the international gog version on the internet and worked out one 500mb file from the download archives held the different files and so got the unedited game that way. Though I've not really played it through yet due to my system being crap. Would love to know if 2.0 is censored for Australians and make sure I don't introduce censorship with any patches.
I would also like to know this before I buy. (Or can I just change country I am in to America?)

YES WE CAN!

(Sory, it was too obvious...)
I suspect I might be necro-ing and old thread but apart from finding out in game is there any way to tell if you have the censored version?

My boyfriend brought the game for me as an xmas present - I've held out getting it because of the censorship, you never know maybe we'll get treated as adults some day, I changed my location of residence to the US before downloading - but I doubt my otherhalf did when he bought the game for me.

Quick reply would be appreciated.

That part about changing your location leads me to assume that you have the GOG version, but Geo-IP was reinstated sometime around Christmas thanks to a court case, so it's very possible that changing your location had no effect.

Either way, you can tell if you have the censored version of the game or not by going to Program Files/GOG.com/The Witcher 2/CookedPC and checking to see if you have the elf_flotsam.dzip and succubuss.dzip files in there. If not, it's censored. Luckily, those files are easily replaced and putting the two files in will uncensor the game.

elf_flotsam.dzip
succubuss.dzip

Note: If those files are put back in before the end of Act 1, then it works in your current game just as though you had originally downloaded the uncensored version. Otherwise one of the two censored scenes has to wait until another playthrough.
Can some one reupload these somewhere

Ha, my files got nuked by the US government. Not often that one can say that.

elf_flotsam.dzip
succubuss.dzip

Just in case the world explodes any further and takes those saves down, here's a mirror:

elf_flotsam.dzip
succubuss.dzip

Hopefully those last.
lol thanks

227: files & things
Filesonic no longer allows other people to download files, you can only download stuff you uploaded yourself.

The depositfiles link still works, though. For now.
Thanks so much man you're a God-send
Well the patch is a bother but the game can be found else where and for cheaper eg. green man gaming is selling it at 37.97 which is cheaper than here on gog it is also to my knowledge uncensored and even if its not gog cant beat the price because well they* just want to rip us off on this game for some reason

*not just gog but publishers and or developers
The complex question I have is this...

Let's say I purchased a UK version of Witcher 2 (proper, uncensored version) but then due to the issues with the whole legal case GOG had to enable GeoIP and I find myself in Australia.
What I want to know is, will my EE be now an Australian version or will it be a UK version if I choose to re-download the whole archives.

In other words I read that those who purchased it at different location and pre-GeoIP get to keep their then localized copy afterwards... but does that effect EE once it is made available?
