This mod is a must.
Just as pivotal as the Fallout, Torment, IWD, VTMB and Arcanum mods/patches.
Cannot wait for the latest release.
I click on the kink to the Circle_of_Eight_Modpack_7.7.0_NC_Setup.exe and press the orange Download button. After a while it takes me to Game Front and I'm presented with no fewer than three download buttons :

1. A GREEN button (top right) which says "Start Download".
2. An ORANGE button which says "Download Now".
3. Another GREEN button, beneath the orange one, which says "Download".

Why three download buttons and does it make any difference which one I choose ? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I sense some sort of trickery here.

It's to get you to click money producing links. The way it's done is deceitful, and sucks.

The current version is 7.8.0. Get it from here. You want the orange button that says 'Download now', and bears these words in the link:

You need the mod as it fixes a lot of bugs you can have it and play like vanilla without the NC version

thanks for your info, i have installed the Co8 mod 7.8.0 NC and applied it to the game, is that all ?
should be all you have to do. but the NC also adds new content(NC=New Content) so if you want to play the original game it should be without the NC

johnwayne3018: Go figure, EVERY freaking time I install MODS of any kind they freaking DO NOT work and freeze as soon as game loads. WTF!!

Hickory: I suggest anger management before installing mods. :/
Or at leat anger management before posting :-D
I have a problem.
My TofEE is in c:GOG games/temple of elemental evil
I install the CofE mod directly to this directory, as instructed
When I run TFE-X as administrator and start the front end installation, I get a "serious error" :
IO exception when building a package: ZIP file must have at least one entry.
I'm running windows Vista. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Update - I managed to solve it by reinstalling the game in a folder with no spaces in the name. It seems that the spaces were confusing the package.

This is a safe mod right, no viral surprizes?

(yes I know this is a stupid question but please reasure me)

Also played a little bit of the game to test it out. Tat won't effect the mod if I install it right?

and you will have to start a new game for the mod to work but not a new install of the game

Hmmm. okay I'm only asking cause one of the system shock 2 mods seemed a bit sketchy
The Co8 modpack is up to version 8.0.1 now; GOG won't let me post links for whatever reason, but Googling "Circle of Eight modpack" should point you to the forum thread.

It's antispam feature. You need certain amount of reputation before you're allowed to post links.
