darkredshift: I am seriously looking forward to this remake! I started on Portable through its own custom DOSbox but I switched to Enhanced once it came out. (I'd gotten a notification by email as I had voted for it on the wishlist)

It's mainly how they Improve on the original while keeping it near identical like the Marathon Resurrection mod for Unreal Tournament, only less buggy.

A couple of new things I hope they add are expanding on the groves to something like Arcadia from Bioshock meets the Grove level from Tomb Raider AOD and Biodome winter gardens everywhere, as the original groves and the garden in System Shock 2 are both seriously underwhelming. Ambient, but not what I'd expect from a space garden. (engine limitations aside except SS2 as there was no excuse there. (apart from CD space))

Also include swimmable liquids like in SS2 especially in those groves, and the Beta Grove water features could be poisonous, dealing extra Biohazard damage, but rewarded with extra secrets.

Interesting to see what the mutated plant and fungus life are going to be like in Beta grove.

Recreational facilities on the Exec level too like Shock and Deus Ex series' famous basketball courts.

Maybe also:

a swimming bath house

steam room

gym full of platforming puzzles

Bar and billiards lounge

Arcade and Casino full of playable pinball tables, a Strife VE arcade, playable realistic pachinko machines, roulette tables and a bowling ally.

Cyberspace VR brothel that actually works unlike the sequel.

Maybe they could have at least two achievements regarding the deck 6 arcades: Our Time has been Shocked! (description: remember to salt the fries) for the pinball machines, which refers to the DOS System Shock or at least Portable's error message and HIT THE LEVER! (description; PUSH THE BUTTONS!) for pachinko, even though that actually references pachislot which is different.
