DirtyCamper: Actually, I am pretty quick in looking up the godmode and other cheats in any game.
But I have almost finished it, and I didn't even started to look for a cheat...
You can die endlessly if you have reached a recombination chamber. Load and save are very fast (at least under wine/linux).
(I even didn't look for a walkthrough yet...)
Maybe best: I didn't even know what was system shock 2 until I bought it here and tried it.

JudasIscariot: Actually, IIRC, it costs you nanites every time you die and get resurrected. I think it's about 10 nanites per pop so once you run out of nanites, that's it, show's over, folks.
Answer: Save some spare nanites for such situations & save your game often. ;)

abcman787: Hello I new to the System Shock 2 community and was hoping to try out the game first in God Mode, because of this legendary difficulty. I was wondering how do you enable God Mode in System Shock 2?

I know it's an old thread, but I thought I'd mention that on Easy mode, the Quantum Reconstruction doesn't cost any nanites.

Yep & on normal difficulty it's 5, on hard & impossible 10 I believe. Personally, if I were to cheat, I'd use the tech training's med hypo glitch to carry them into the 'actual game' itself (holding them off-inventory while walking to the particular training bit's exit teleporter) as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z18ekyic2Eo

I've read about that some time ago after finishing my 1st playthrough & decided to test it out, no idea if it works in co-op but I'd assume so. I'm personally against cheating/abusing glitches, but I've a brother who always asks me for cheats for games similar to the topic creator - Playing only for (massacre) fun or whatever their motivation may be...

LordRikerQ: Who cares? Enjoy the game with cheats, dont let facist gamers tell you how to play.
Wish i could + your comment more then once.

Seriously, play the game however you want, don't listen to these elitist gatekeepers.
most people don't like cheaters very much. also, nice necro.
