This is guessing the XWAUP font fix is the official one:

Try to download and copy this file (Fonts.dat) to your RESDATA folder, overwriting the file there. Also, delete Fonttest.skm in your SKIRMISH folder.

Make a backup of both original files just in case. Uninstalling and reinstalling the craft pack only takes a couple minutes, tho.

And yes, the font fix is ugly as a sin. I'm grateful I don't need it with GOG version.

I don't have anywhere a Fonttest.skm, but using your version of Fonts.dat seems to have done the job. Thanks!

Be aware that some of the problems with modern computers that the XWAUpgrade fixed....like the font problem...are fixed in the GOG release. There might be conflicts between the fixes, creating some of the problems.

I've ended up enjoying taking non-HUD pics. Shame is not easy to take good screenshots with Imperial ships while they are trying to kill you :(

Can I ask how you are getting this to work? Are you running normal XWA (ie the non GOG version)?

GOG version, with the 1.1 version of the XWAUpgrade Craft Pack. The same they pulled off due the issues it was causing with GOG release, yes :P

The problems I've found on my end are three, although I'm not sure the second was caused by the Craft Pack. I should do some tests: Planetary Fighters crashing the game, the Liberty being destroyed with shields at 45% when jumping to hyperspace on a certain mission, and the Executor smashing me when it's destroyed on Endor's battle due it's extra size.

Workaround for the first two was uninstalling the Craft Pack for that mission (or installing the single Planetary Fighter pack). For the last one, praying and hoping a wingmen would finish the last shield generator while I ran away :p, as I didn't want to uninstall the Craft Pack for that mission.

Wait, does the XWA Upgrade pack work for the TIE Fighter game also, or is it a seperate mod? Do the rest of the series have them also and can I have links to the mods?

I guess Kharnete is talking about the TIE Fighter Total Conversion which converts the battles form TIE-Fighter to XWA. You cannot install it without all the discs though and some of the battles are missing.

Yep, what ShadowOwl said. Although maybe I will have some troubles, as right now I'm using the regular XWAUCP instead Darksaber's Ultimate Craft Pack. I don't remember if was entirely compatible, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Modified Frigate (aka Neublon-B2) is probably my all-time favourite SW ship since I first saw her on TIE Fighter.
