Resurrecting this thread...

I had fixed this problem by various means, but I have run into a consistent crash. After entering the sewers on Taris, I go through about three doors. There is an outcast corpse inside and I am promptly attacked by 4 Rakgouls. After I kill the rackgouls, the game ALWAYS freezes and I can't progress beyond this point. I suppose I could skip this sidquest and see if that works, but does anyone have any ideas?

I have frame buffer effects disabled, running in windowed mode, set the affinity to use one core, disabled hardware mouse....all the standard stuff.

Thanks for your help. I am currently using an NVidia Geforce GTX 770.

I have a recurring crash that isn't quite the same, but i wonder if it's similar.

A lot of the time, when I enter a new location, the game crashes. It goes dark, the mouse might move, there's sound, but I have to hard reboot my laptop. At the entrance to the Undercity right now the characters might stand there, not fully resolved, and I have to hard reboot.

Any ideas what's wrong?
