jackivan88: So I replaced my FO Armada II executable with the one from the GOG folder and I get an access violation. Any workarounds or is this caused by an update to the GOG version?
The hook FO uses is likely confused by the GOG 1.1 executable. Replace it with this. http://armadafiles.com/files/armada-2/mods/patches/star-trek-armada-ii-patch-project-zip-125/details

You can't do that. And you shouldn't have to. The armada2.exe file from a GOG installation works just fine with fleet ops. The other poster probably has some kind of incompatibility with their hardware so it doesn't matter which .exe file they use, or they (wrongly) replaced the file in the main folder, instead of the one in the \Data folder.

Did you copy the armada2 exe to the \Data folder? Because that works for me. You can try compatibility settings on the armada2 exe or the fleetops.exe, some systems need that.
ok fixed it....
i installed armada 2 fresh, i installed FO in the C:\programs folder he wants(before i switched to another drive)
copied the gog.exe AND started AS ADMINISTRATOR.

now it works fine :))

but another thing is i played Federation and i am missing the Galaxy Class....? Any chance to get the ship into the game? i think its a must have.
Ah, glad to hear it works now!

The Galaxy Class isin Fleet Ops, but only as a warp-in unit from the Starfleet Command station and IIRC it's randomised whether you get it or some other ship, every time you warp in units.

Modding Fleet Ops is a lot of work but there are existing Fleet Ops mods like "Dominion War" and "Roots" on Moddb that have the Galaxy Class as a buildable unit.
ok thx will test "Dominion War" because i tried Roots 3.0 and the Borg are so weak... small cheap romulan ships kill my fleet easy...

ejdallas44: Have you guys got the music working? From Gog install -> FO? Any help?

Below works perfectly for fleet ops with gog, just no music yet. thanks AdmZaxxxon.

Install GOG A2
Install FO locating the GOG A2 files as your .exe
Replace the armada2.exe file in the FO folder with the one from the GOG folder
And voila. FO running on WIN 10 on a 240hz 1440p monitor, 32GB ran, RTX 3090, no crashes!

AdmZaxxon: You have to download the multimedia pack for the music, which is a separate download from the base game.

https://www.fleetops.net/download

Then just install it ontop of your already installed FO. :)
thx for the info ....
