Do we know when Gog will release these titles for purchase? I've had my eye on getting this game for years and years and years. I've been waiting for Gog to get the licensing to sell. XD
You wont be disappointed
I am excited as anything, hope the date of release comes soon.
Even though im looking forward to the games coming to windows 10 and windows 11 (if they will work on windows 11), The bit that got me thinking is how are they going to make a 16 bit game made for the 9X kernal run on 64bit machines as its a very old game engine and i'm thinking are they gonna be successful or not cause i have a feeling that it might cause them a headache to get both games to work properly on windows 10 and 11

Armada was never a 16-bit game. In fact, after the release of Windows 95, VERY FEW 16-bit games were made at all (InstallShield installers notwithstanding).
I have been able to get armada running under window 10 using dgvoodoo. It was unstable though, so I am hoping GOG has optimized whatever method they decided to use with it.

Use this instead, much more stable: https://github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/wiki/Star-Trek-Armada-1

If worst comes to worst, you can always download the offline files and install on Win 98,XP VM that supports DX9. That what I plan on doing.

Yeah I had tried this one as well. The problem I kept running into (with all methods) is that when ships exploded, the framerate would drop to single digits.

I ended up finding some parts to put together a decent 98/XP machine and found something interesting. When I had an nVidia card installed, I saw the same thing (single digit frames when a ship exploded). I did not get this when using an ATI card.

this worked but i had to make additional changes
1st I changed my desktop screen resolution to 1360x768
2nd instead of using his compatibility mode settings he suggested I used windows 10 "Troubleshoot Compatibility" by right clicking on "Armada.exe" and using the settings it recommended.
3rd start amarda directly from "Armada.exe" instead of the start menu or any other shortcut.

Thankfully I have a windows XP machine downstairs which i can play the game on as well as a windows 7 laptop so all is not lost :D
I remember the game had a lot of issues at launch. For my friends and I, anyway. I think there is a lot of work needed to get it running.
Hopefully soon
yes when wiill it be avaible, waiting to have this game forever!
Wish they would hurry up! xD
