I heard the voice acting is really terrible in those games. :D So I guess it's up to you to decide whether to go with the old-school Monkey Island type (which would be a cool addition to GOG among other Lucas Arts classics *wink wink*) text thingie or with the sounds. Anyways, you should try them both as it seems to be possible to get both versions.

I bought Simon 1 and Simon 2 games yesterday, and no one has subltitles !!!
as I can barely understand spoken english, I've bought 2 unuseful stuff GRRR

Oldski: We've now added the subtitled version to the installer, so if you download it again, you'll have the option to choose the subtitled version or the full audio version to install.

If you press options before installing, you may choose between the voice or text version.
But on the iPhone version I get both, Speech AND subtitles at the same time.
