Hey guys,

Using an Xbox 360 Wired controller with no function in the right analog stick.

Can anyone help me activate it please?

Kind regards.
Don't know about this game, but from my past experience with these kinds of Survival Horror games, the Right Analog Stick isn't often used in games like Silent Hill 2 or 3, and Resident Evil Remake.

You can use XInput Plus to get your controller to work properly. Check the PCGamingWiki page for SH4, there are detailed instructions there.

Yes, but you have to apply the fix:

It is used in SH4, though (PS2 version) to control the camera, especially in first person view while being in Henry's room. Standard config awkwardly maps moving the camera up and down to the triggers because the right stick isn't working.

Thanks for bringing this fix up! I ended up using that setup for the first time - works wonders & was very easy to do. Honestly, all this version of SH4 needed was that, and everything else has been almost perfect in my first play through so far!

Your welcome, mate. I struggled at first with my Xbox One S controller and then remembered that I used it with retail version few years ago.

I thank you as well. X-Input is much more convenient these days I find,

Also, for anyone else interested, the XInput Plus program also allows you to invert the up/down axis of the right controller stick if you choose "Customize" in the Direct Input tab after configuring it as per pcgamewiki.com.
I fixed this issue using Xpadder. Just made a profile and set the right stick to emulate the mouse. Works perfectly. :)
I must be a dumbdumb, because I can't figure out how to download the XInput program. I follow the link and it leads me to a page in Japanese and plenty of error messages where I believe the download links should be. :(

Somebody could send it to you, but your profile doesn't allow for private messages...
From the store page here on GOG:

"XInput controllers are partially supported (right stick may not be possible to bind). Most common DirectInput controllers are supported."

Always read up before installing :)

I'm sorry! I didn't expect so much kindness. :) I'd be extremely grateful for the help!
