How the hell do you install the patch?

looking on PC gaming wiki and it says for some files to go to two different folders, When it actually show only one folder.

What exactly is this patch? I have never heard of a patch that changes a UK version to a US version. What is the point of this? I didn't even know there was a US version.

Whatever it is, i couldn't work out how to install it

just gonna play the game normally.
