I know, i know ... but this version being a lot harder than the original (i am stuck in the second chapter with no money for shields or no money for better weapons), does anyone have working cheats? The old ones do not work.

Is it really that much harder? (I wouldn't know because I only have the original.. Now I feel like I should get this version too just to see if I can still beat it, which is kind of stupid.. :p)
Anyway, the only cheat I remember was simply pressing the Backspace key while you're playing; then you'd get a free Deathray weapon. (Press it again and you get another one.. Just get a ton of'em and then sell them for a ton of cash.)
If that cheat doesn't work, might I suggest playing the game with the mouse instead of the keyboard? Should be a lot easier because your ship can move much faster (at least in the original version) and it's more fun too. :)

Not really, no. OTOH, I'm not as good at it as I used to be and I suppose the same could be said for most people.
There was this trick that in some levels you would get a free weapon very early into the mission, after getting it you could just press escape abort it, and sell the weapon.
A example would be mission 6 of Bravo, where you get the Dumbfire missiles like 20 secs into the mission.
I'm playing at rookie difficulty, dunno if it disables on a higher one

Let's try ... yepp, you keep the weapon and can sell it after abandoning the mission. No more money problems! Thnx! :)
Download the Gamewizard.
Start Raptor (best in Windowsmodus)
Start Gamewizard
Select Game (Raptor)
Create Entry
Address: 434644
Size: the highest Value
Name: Money
Then you can over Value set the Amount of Money you wish.
*** EDIT: Attention - Dont try to download the Gamewizard. The Truename of the Tool that i mean is GAMEWIZ32. Sorry for that:( A clean Version is available from Computerbild.de***

Too bad the Gamewizard I keep finding is apparently a "virus"...
None of the old school cheats work, not even hexediting the .FIL :( I may have to buy it from 3dRealms and run dosbox....
Countless hours were spent in my youth on this game, I deem cheating necessary!
edit: I should actually say, the hexedit (24,26 and 28 to 00) works (shows up mass money) however when you go to play a sector...the game crashes...

Sh**! This was my Error.
The Name of this Tool is GAMEWIZ32 and not Gamewizard.
I remember now, that i have download this scrap too.
Please, it was not my purpose to infect your PC or so.
I have tested a Gamewiz32-Version from http://www.computerbild.de.
And my Virusscanner dont found a Virus.
Try this and if you found a Virus kill me, ok?
Sorry again:(
To secure, the Link to the right File:
http://www.computerbild.de/download/GameWiz32-6078.html
I am checked it with Avira Antivir and on another PC with NOD32. It seems clear.
If the Address (434644) not functional then search self. It was easy to find.

Hahaha no worries!!! I'm running Vipre virus (I'm a convert from McAfee), and it picked it right up, no harm done.
Thanks though! I'll give this one a shot :)

Okay, I followed your steps and I found the value but after I change it how do I save it? Thanks for answering.
Hello. For the case, the question is still actual:
No saving needed. The data will be write directly into the chosen Memory-Adress. So, enter the Value you wish into "Value" and press Enter. More is not needed.
Eventually you must switch in Game from one screen to another, to see a change.

Sorry for my bad English, i am German.
Had Raptor - Call of the Shadows years ago and just got it again tonight, but the cheats do not work; neither the backspace or the SET S_HOST=CASTLE from the command line. I paid for the damn game so it should be the registered version with the abilities in it.

Can't seem to change levels like I would like to either. Bummer.

Still a good game though.
Der "Raptor - Call of the Shadows 2010 Ed. +3 Trainer" läuft.
Einfach im Hintergrund laufen lassen.
F1 - +100.000 Points/Money
F2 - Unlimited Superbombs
F3 - Unlimited Shields
