Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we have a new update for Raiden Legacy that will bump up your game to version 1.2. PC users need to download just the Universal update and Mac users will need to re-download the DMG file to get the latest version.

Here's a changelog:

Fixed buggy portrait mode

Added in-game portrait mode option

Added scan lines filtering

Added lives per credit option

Hidden ships can now be used (including slaves in Raiden Fighters 2 & Raiden Fighters Jet)

Displays high-scores (by difficulty) in the "Select Mode" menu & in-game (if base high-score is beaten)

I noticed that the game now also saves the choice of difficulty in Raiden, so that you don't have to go through extra motions if you are training for a perfect run. A minor, but much appreciated fix.

This patch is much appreciated but now there is an ugly thin gray line around the screen edges. I don't really notice it while playing but it wasn't there before!

I have to say it looks amazing with video filtering off and scanlines on!

....when I choose portrait, it turns the screen sideways. Something is wrong. :(

No that's meant to happen, it's for people who can turn the thier PC screen sideways and played it like the arcade.

First off all: Thnx for the Update :)
Tate Mode now works.
But why there are no real Leaderboards is beyond me :(
Jet still runs waaayyy too fast :(
Implementation of using the gui with a jystick would be really cool, beause changing back to mouse to control the gui sucks.
games still stutter at some point, but it seems to have nothing to do with performance of the system, because the game stutters when there`s almost nothing going on and runs smooth when all hell breaks loose.

I'm having another weird problem. Only the keyboard will trigger select/start now. Can't do it with my joystick anymore. And if I hit start with keyboard, it always selects the default ship no matter which one I have selected. I literaly have to let the timer run out to get the ship i want.

Yeah, right? What's up with that. I came to see if I was the only one having that issue. It's weird.

I have this thin grey line around the screen, too. I noticed it immediately and find it quite annoying. Considering the more severe issues others have reported here, I just hope DotEmu will release another update soon. I have downgraded my game back to the previous version. Gog should keep the original installer until we have a satisfying update so that you can decide to use the original version. See attached screen shot. Does anyone here not have the grey border?
