While I appreciate the update I'm a bit confused about why this version is supposedly better. I admit I've never played any of the Pro Pinball games in their original (non-GOG) form so I don't know how they originally sounded but the old version's music seemed to work better. I did notice that it would sometimes go silent after completing a mode, until the ball drained but otherwise it seemed fine. The music would change with the modes, depending on what was happening on the table. The new version is more like just listening to a CD in the background while playing the game. The music does not change with modes, starting the game, draining the ball, etc. The same track just keeps playing. Is this how it's supposed to be?
Honestly, I kind of preferred the way the music worked in the old version. It felt more like a real pinball table. I wonder if GOG could put both versions available for us to download and let us pick the one we prefer? It's not really an issue for me at the moment because I still have the installer for the old version. I also can't help wonder if I'm missing something because everyone else seems to think the new version is much better.
I'm having this exact same issue. The menu music will keep playing until it ends and then the normal table music will start and continue playing even if I start a mode.
