Hi at All

Can I change the aspect ratio in the windows version? I have a 16:10 screen and the image is distorted. I also confirm the music bug.

MWink: While I appreciate the update I'm a bit confused about why this version is supposedly better. I admit I've never played any of the Pro Pinball games in their original (non-GOG) form so I don't know how they originally sounded but the old version's music seemed to work better. I did notice that it would sometimes go silent after completing a mode, until the ball drained but otherwise it seemed fine. The music would change with the modes, depending on what was happening on the table. The new version is more like just listening to a CD in the background while playing the game. The music does not change with modes, starting the game, draining the ball, etc. The same track just keeps playing. Is this how it's supposed to be?

Honestly, I kind of preferred the way the music worked in the old version. It felt more like a real pinball table. I wonder if GOG could put both versions available for us to download and let us pick the one we prefer? It's not really an issue for me at the moment because I still have the installer for the old version. I also can't help wonder if I'm missing something because everyone else seems to think the new version is much better.

Zeether: I'm having this exact same issue. The menu music will keep playing until it ends and then the normal table music will start and continue playing even if I start a mode.
Is music bug is now fixed? I'm thinking about buying phisical CD rather than GOG version (phisical CD cost me about $4 with delivery). I noticed that music bug exist in another game (Re-volt), so that is a serious problem.

pnptcn: I'm getting screwed up colors with the new windows version.

edit: Nevermind, messing around with the graphics options fixed it right up.
I have the same problem. How did you adjust the graphics?

I have the same (old) problem ... have anyone figured out how to avoid distortion?

JudasIscariot: Hi guys,

We have uploaded a new installer that fixes the missing in-game muisic being missing. Please make sure to download your brand spankin' new installer from your game shelf and enjoy the music :)

This version also adds the Windows installer along with the DOS version! :)
My windows version is badly bugged. the icons go apeshit, I think there's something wrong with the sound and I recall it crashing a lot. I haven't tried it in a while as I've deleted the buggy version from my desktop and use the DOS shortcut instead.

A support ticket and you can do that by going here: http://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/pro_pinball_timeshock

The more information we get about this issue the better the chances we can solve this issue :)
My Windows version of Timeshock won't even run now when I try to play it. In the task manager, it shows as a background process and only takes up CPU space until I end the task.

The DOS version still works, but I can't access the operator's options in that one, which I need to try and beat the game. Not to mention the DOS one lags briefly for 2 or 3 seconds at inopportune points.

EDIT: the DOS version does have the operators menu but I have no idea how to unlock what should be essential features to change in the game. The manual just says "play more games" to do that but I don't know how many nor do I have the time to grind games just to unlock a less unforgiving and at times, boring and stressful experience.

I'm experiencing this same behavior exactly.

I'm also having the the same issue. I sent a support ticket.
Support wasn't much help. I tried all the compatibility settings with no luck. I got the Windows version of Timeshock. working without music by moving the winmm.dll out of the directory.

My Windows Timeshock still doesn't run properly (it runs as a background process on Windows 10) and I am pissed because GOG have done nothing to fix it.

I even tried reinstalling with a fresh installer download and that didn't work either not even compatibility mode and admin running helped.

Is there a way to get the game working in a similar manner to what you did, but with the music running correctly too?

EDIT: I tried your method and it is still very buggy even without the dll file stopping it running:

The menu graphics are fast as shit but the game itself is laggy and slow as hell. It also doesn't let me use my full screen resolution of 1920x1080 whereas the dos one lets you fiddle around to find the right one.

Well, how to get to Windows version? GOG Galaxy installs and runs DOS version.
