I've been trying to play Sands of Time on steam and running into constant problems with the voices being inaudible. It seems to be an issue related to how it handles 3D positional audio because it's all based on where the camera is, but turning off all the 3D audio shit in the settings menu doesn't fix it. Googling it just results in a lot of threads of complaints, but no solutions.

My question is, does the GOG version share this issue? I searched the forum and didn't find any mention of it. I'd be happy to buy the GOG version if it has a fix for this problem.

I believe it is the same version as steam..Maybe the only different thing is that on gog it will probably work for windows 10. I have the gog version and I didn't experience any audio problems and my specs are
windows 7 64bit
fx-6300
8gb ram
gtx 970
So you didn't run into any issue where Farah's dialogue was so quiet that you could barely hear her? It's seemingly a pretty widespread problem with the steam version and with the PS3/360 ports.

Maybe it was even like this in the original release, I don't really remember, but I find it makes the game pretty frustrating coming back to it. Maybe I'll give the gog version a try and see if it works better.
