fronzelneekburm: I haven't heard that stream, so I can only speculate about Rick Hunter's reasons. My guess is that he fancies himself a serious radio personality type (or whatever the hell he's doing these days) now and he's uncomfortable with being constantly associated with Postal. I get it, to some extent. Just look at the guy's youtube channel. He's doing voiceover work for black history month and Martin Luther King documentaries or what have you and every single person in the comments is shitposting Postal quotes. I get that this is frustrating.
If my assumption is correct and that is indeed the reason why Rick Hunter wouldn't want to be associated with Postal any more, Mr Hunter would have to understand that the damage has been done 20 years ago. He is inextricably linked to Postal. Every single time someone who enjoyed the game hears his voice, they'll go "Hey, it's the Postal Dude!" Staying away from Postal 4 won't change that. Instead, he should capitalize on that fame. Hell, Leonard Nimoy went through a "I am not Spock" phase too until he smartened up and embraced the role (and the cash that came with it).

fronzelneekburm: Face it, sister: The Duke himself hasn't been relevant since 1996. That's just the thing: RWS brought in some piss-poor replacement and are banking on name recognition alone, hoping the fanbois would gobble it up.

It dose certainly sound like a plausable explenation to me.
I'd ask you to only imagine how frustrating it must be for RWS whom are making a game to be constantly haunted by name of voice actor that they almost certainly offered the job and gotten rejected. I mean lokat how RWS dose stuff! they released datadisk for their game over decade after the fact!
Mike J did not specify much it just sounds like he gets Rick requests alot (RWS rickrolling is wierder than the other Rick from more general Rickroll), i feel the grating from even watching streams on YT. there has not been a single epissode without people bringing it up, to a point where there was even disclaimer about this on severall streams. I am just an audience and i am sick of it.
My original point is: Rick wont do it, lets just see what John can do ok? It is not perfect but it is damn good alternative (i mean its not like Stephen Weyette was going to voice act this... was he? god now i want that voice to be in Postal XD sorry)
