I'm happy my 5 year old computer runs it just fine. Well not really just fine, it sometimes stutters a bit but it's perfectly playable Mostly in big maps with a lot of npcs and things to show. Luckily your field of view is limited to your party, which means that I don't have much of a problem at all.
I have a 7 year old rig and the game runs quite smoothly.
The loadings can be a bit long for busy maps, and I've had some crash because I have a 32 bits Vista OS, but found a solution online to use more than 3Gb of RAM.
I have a Core 2 Duo @ 3.33GHz and a 2Gb Nvidia GT 630.
When the game is running, I can hear the fan going up in speed as it must be heating up, but nothing major.

GOG has a 30 days money-back guarantee, I guess you could buy the game, and get a refund if your computer is not able to run the game.

FYI, you are specifically not eligible for the money-back guarantee if your computer doesn't meet or exceed the minimum requirements.
I got a first gen intel hd integrated graphics, it runs the game at 15 fps max so imagine my dissapointment with the performance. I just wish I could turn off those character shadows somehow, i'm sure that would solve the issue for me.

Oh I didn't know, sorry about that.
Unbelievable BS in this thread.
Having a pissy-fit with a developer because they make a game that wont run on some old rundown PC you have is such BS.
