Hi I just bought OutLaws from GOG. Thanks to them for the hard work of making it able to run on windows 10. I downloaded my copy and the game seems to work fine, but there is no sound. Any help would be appreciated.

The post from 2015 is no longer relevant and neither a fix or any help. Thanks to some new windows 10 update the sound still isn't working at all and none of the sound options changes anything regarding that problem either. I also tried it with pirated versions of GoG and got either "Music but no sound", "Sound but no music" and finally "Sound and music work fine, but now your graphics are fucked to an unplayable level". I'm thinking of buying some old win XP to run this game cause getting frustated over the same damn issue is no longer acceptable.

Have you tried renaming olwin.exe (to anything else) yet? Alternately, there's a registry file (that I put together) that you can import (after opening it in a text editor and editing a few paths according to the information at the top of the file).

Yeah but renaming the file in the original GoG version caused it to fail to load the level and exit the game, in the unofficial version it warped the graphics whenever you went inside any sort of building.
I'll try the registry though, I've seen some of your posts already, you are one of the good ones so thanks for the quick reply.

I've never heard or had that. FWIW, my tips apply to the GOG version from a few years ago running on maybe not the most recent Windows 10 build, but at least the one before that. I imagine that the tips work on the latest versions of both, but I can't say for absolute certain.

BTW, also make sure that you have sound driver set to DirectSound in olcfg.exe.

That sounds like the Direct3D rendering issue. You can fix that by either switching the game to 3Dfx Glide mode in olcfg.exe or by following my guide to fix the Direct3D mode:
