I can't even begin to fix the issues with the screen flickering, i see this "go into the settings" post and all the changes that need to be made but i have no idea how you even get to change any settings for the game. do you change the settings from "GoG" or on the desktop in the computer settings menu?
I see all these "this totaly worked" reposts so I'm clearly not seeing the same menues as these other people who fixed the issues, what do i need to do to play Nox?

You need to change the NOX.EXE and Game.exe options that are in the game installation folder as well as changing the in-game options that come up when actually in the game.

Hope this helps.
Search for ddrawcompat in google and put the ddraw.dll into the game folder. Works flawesly in windows 10 64. No compatibility options needed.

Run the game as admin + Win98 compatibility,
Still having difficulty getting Nox to work on my new computer at the moment with windows 11

I've set the compatibility to windows 98, running as admin and reduced color mode to 16-bit

I've pulled a copy of ddraw.dll

So far the game briefly flashes and nothing after that; task manager has the game shown as being active but no other evidence the game is cooperating so far.

Might fart around with the Nvidia control panel; I know that tends to interfere with games sometimes if the settings aren't just right.

Any other ideas so far?

UPDATE; 05/22/2023;

It was my goddamned anti-virus... typical

also did some additional dickering; post from user Lain from 02/05/2023 from another thread also helped with the files he suggested;
I didn't seem to need to dgVoodoo.cpl application at all, just the .dll and .conf files.

Did have to drill into the dgVoodoo.conf file to set the watermark to false though, otherwise it sits there in the bottom right corner the entire time.
