Our money wasn't as good as Steam users' so F us.
Gentlemen, please, calm your anuses... everyone know that, normally (at least with the most of the games), the updates come later to GOG than to Steam.

It is too early to say "the NEXT update are not coming to GOG!!!".

So do you guys also post this on the Hello Games twitter account? Or places were they can see it. Doesn't really help to moan and complain here where GoG employees probably won't see it, and Hello Games employees won't at all. Go directly approach them, as a group, send different twitter messages that everyone can see so they can all pitch in, to ask what the deal is with no GoG version yet.
i am about | | <-- this close to just saying fuck GOG and buying it on steam, even if i lose my pre-order DLC, this is horseshit
Not buying any excuses Gog has had MONTHS to be ready....no way should we as customers be treated like beggars...we all payed them for the game and they dont have the courtesy to talk to us.... I will never buy a game from these people again....I remember when we couldnt see orbs in the old patch...now we have to sit here with no download while the rest of the World is having fun.

I asked on @NoMansSky. Sean's since retweeted more screenshots of the game.

Dukanu: I bought it on GOG.com and they are making me download the game from dubious sites !
They are not making you do anything, unpatient child.
If you wanted to play NEXT as soon as possible, you could have just bought it on Steam
I have never released a game on Steam or GOG, so I definitely I do not know of the processes that take place behind curtains; however, the Steam and GOG versions should be identical apart from any platform specific code (Achievements, multiplayer and so on) that rely on the corresponding service.

So, what's so problematic about pushing/ uploading it? I honestly don't get it. It's supposedly finished, so what's taking so long?

Calm down will you, GoG isn't the one releasing the patch, Turn to Hello games instead of venting your rage here. Go contact them, they are the ones who provide the platforms with the patch, not like GoG made the patch. Go to the hello games twitter page and deman awnsers from them there and tell them you as customer feel betrayed.

it doesnt matter who is pushing the patch, this is the platform we are on and its obviously an issue with GOG since everyone else in the world has it right now.

And what if Hello Games didn't provide GoG with the patch, how is that GoG's fault? Their fault is that they don't communicate it right now, that i give you. But people are overreacting like no tomorrow as if GoG made the game and are the only ones responsible for not having it patched. Yet i doubt many of them actually went to the official channels to adres it. Again, go ask Hello Games aswell why the patch isn't on GoG.

But I don't want to buy it on Steam, I already bought it on GOG. I would think GOG would want to keep me as a customer, no?

and thats a huge issue when a global release date was announced weeks or months before the scheduled release.

the simple fact is that if we had all bought it on steam, this wouldnt be an issue, therefor its a problem with GOG, regardless of if there is a breakdown between HG and GOG, they have had months to work it out and tell us if there was any issues - that alone is enough for me to never even look at the GOG website again.

i have emailed HG and GOG - as we all know, they arent in the mood for talking.

The update will be here, i have no doubt. I would not hang GOG or HG for this. Shit happens, Murphy lives.

GOG.com has failed miserably in their quest to bring cool games at lower prices !
They have not failed. I prefer GOG over steam because I do get games at great prices AND without DRM! Which means I don't need a client/manager like Steam or Galaxy to install and play the games.

I got Obduction for $11, The complete Thief series for $4.99, The Unreal Tournament package for a similar price. Oblivion for cheap. No Man's Sky for $23.99. So GOG does a GREAT JOB of bringing great games at low prices.

I'm not gonna let a hiccup like this stop me from buying cheap games from the past or choosing GOG over Steam for new games that are DRM / Client free.

Are you for real right now? They had months to inform you if the patch was gonna be released or not today? Come on get real please. If something happened today, how the heck could they have known that 2 weeks ago, let alone 50 years ago (yeah i'm overreacting now too). I don't know, are you able to peer in the future. And i don't know if you know how game development works, but it's not like the NEXT patch has been out for months and just laying aorund till they find a nice date to publish it. Steam and such probably didn't even get it till today either, or yesterday. Hell even steam released the patch later then they normally release things.

Fine if you are angry and upset, but try to keep it real and don't overreact with things that make no sense what so ever. No they didn't had months of time to prepare this, that is not how game development and releases work.

People tend to overreacted and always shout "I WILL NEVER EVER BUY HERE AGAIN!" but the reallity is, 99% of the people who shout that, will remain buying things here anyway. That's just how it works, when it's cheaper here or don't want DRM, they will come back anyway. Maybe for a few weeks they won't buy a thing here, but most people will remain a customer here anyway.
