@ redcap036,

You could ask Steam to give you a Steam key? I suspect GOG have approached them over the MP situation, and it looks likely Steam did not want to help GOG directly, but you could appeal to Steam's awesomeness as a humble gamer that got let down by Hello Games and need their (Steam's) help?

They are nice guys that love gamers so why wouldn't they give you a key? Or you could ask Hello Games directly?

Both Hello Games and Steam have had more to do with this mess than GOG.

Socratatus: But it`s not their fault anyway, but they`re giving you a store wallet refund so you can get another game.
What if I don't want another game?

Socratatus: Damn you people are so unappreciative you`ll deserve it when you get nothing next time.
My money, my appreciation. GOG could have communicated with buyers that MP won't be included in the patch. I really doubt they found out about it on the day the patch came out.

Socratatus: They offered a refund, but nope, not enough.

Unclemati: Because it's not really a refund. It's the same as the store that couldn't pay the workers but they gave them instore credit. :)
So which way does Steam handle refunds for games - playing them up to 2 hours you can get a refund. And where does that money go ?? To your bank account ??
If the payment methode you've used to buy a game can't be used from Valve to transfer it back the same way, it will go into your Steam account deposit, and that will be probably mostly the case. So you have the money back, to spend it on another game in the same Store ... same here.

This is what i really don't unterstand ! Since NMS was released in 2016 and didn't come with the promoted multiplayer mode, a lot, really a lot of people were mad and the game was tamped in the ground from gamers and the games media. Since then ít had a bad reputation and there was NO sign on the horizon, that multiplayer still will happen in this game - it looked like, that NMS stays single player and that's it.

Now of a sudden, the producers came up at the beginning of the year announcing some exciting new stuff for NMS to come out this year, but still noone new exactly, what that would/could be ! Everyone was just guessing around !

And now, that it really happend and a multiplayer function was realized, now all the people, who ranted over the game since 2016 and expect GOG to know all about this ?? And that they knew, too, that MP wasn't coming with the DRM free GOG version ??

If gamers buy games from GOG (that's what i've thought the whole time and that's my reason, too), then their first main reason to do so is, that those games in the GOG store are released in DRM free mode !

I even got already quite a few games for free at GOG in the DRM free version, just because i already own them in the Steam store, but at GOG i didn't have to pay for them again, they were just copied to my GOG library. That's already more then i get at ANY other store around. Or i even get extra small amounts of money in my GOG deposit after each purchase, so that's building up and i can get me something else for that money ... what other store does these things ?

That NMS DRM free version doesn't get this "not really expected" MP-mode right now, isn't GOGs, it's caused by Hello Games.

You`re not getting it and I`m tired having to explain the obvious to people who are so close minded to logic. Seriously I only do this because I felt like it, but if you don`t appreciate it, guess what I don`t care. I don`t work for GOG. I`m just trying to get commonsense around here, but if you kids don`t want commonsense I just don`t care.

It isn`t GOG`s fault, you don`t like it, go to HG or Steam or have nothing at all.

'You kids?' I'm quite sure that condescending remark gets you far in online discussions, especially when you assume that I'm younger than you.

As I wrote couple of times and even in this thread, GOG's fault is lack of proper communication. And snide remarks from someone like you, wont make me 'go to HG, steam or have nothing at all.' As long as I'm buying on GOG, I have right (within community rules) to use forums and complain as much as I like.

They could have said 'MP wont be included in the patch' when the patch was announced by HG games. If you read NMS forums on GOG, a number of people bought NMS when Next patch was announced because of MP element.

Not really, I'm buying games on GOG because some old games are only released here and I want to pay money for them, not because of DRM free mode. You're just assuming that, sorry I had to point it out.
