GreenWarfare.278: Is patch 1.04 actually live on GOG? For me, the game does not seem to automatically update, despite having set update mode to Auto.
Run a "Verify & repair" check and it will force the update for you if you are using Galaxy :)

There is a patch for offline users available in everyone's libraries.

Herrick: I downloaded Galaxy but it says my game isn't installed. Do I have to reinstall the game through Galaxy in order to get these patches? And there's a patch 1287169 in the downloads list when I go on my account in the regular browser. Not sure what I should do.
If you have the game already installed, just use the "Scan & Import" function in Galaxy in order to add the game to Galaxy :) Open Galaxy, click the big "GOG Galaxy" button and select "Scan & Import Folders" from the drop down menu, and point Galaxy to the folder where your current install of NMS resides.

Let Galaxy do its thing and once it's done you will get all updates via Galaxy as long as you have the game set to receive automatic updates :) Let me know if you have any questions :)

Wishbone: If you have started playing offline, and add the game to Galaxy later on, will you be able to continue with your existing savegame?
I've been moving saves around as I tested issues with Wine on my home install and I could play the game after adding it to Galaxy after playing offline.

All you need to do is copy your saves from the users\<user name>\Application Data\HelloGames folder to back it up and you can see this for yourself :)

Hey Everyone,

A new experimental patch has been deployed to the experimental branch on Galaxy - here's a note from Hello Games discussing the changes

[i]First of all thanks so much to everyone who’s spent time playing the game and letting us know about any issues you’ve experienced.

We have a small patch coming soon which will include fixes to some of the issues we’ve seen reported. This won’t fix everything, so if you continue to experience issues after downloading this update, please do continue to report issues to our dedicated bug form.

Without further ado, here are the fixes/changes:

Following reports of some people experiencing issues with the game while unsupported mods are installed, we’ve added mod detection which will show a warning screen on loading when mods are detected. A click or button press will dismiss this screen.

Allowed remapping of the build menu and quick menu commands to support Azerty keyboards.

Fixed an issue which, in some rare cases, prevented NPCs from giving you mission critical dialogue.

Fixed a bug which could cause core items to be transferred from exosuit inventory to starship inventory. Note: this is a preventative fix and won’t fix the issue for those who have already experienced this bug. We have a cure for those who have experienced on the way, it’ll be released in our next patch.

Following player feedback, we have clarified messaging when being given tech that you already know.

Fixed a number of rare crashes (if you continue to experience crashes, please send a crash report and include your crash dumps).

Fix for monitor detection on PCs with 3rd party remote desktop or screen sharing applications.

New GoG Application Icon

We’ll be putting the patch out on the experimental branch now. When we’re comfortable that these fixes are stable on Experimental we will push the update to the live game.

Hey guys,

Here's the changelog from the latest build on the experimental branch -1492442

- We've enabled a temporary workaround for the SLI issues people are experiencing. If you are running in SLI, please disable TAA and the game should run. We are currently talking to Nvidia about a more permanent solution for this issue.

- Fixed an issue where underwater buildings could spawn without doors which in rare cases would mean the NPC missions could not be completed. (Note: If you are still being pointed to missing facilities during the NPC questlines, you can either claim a new base and re-build the NPC terminal, or if you have a Freighter, remove the NPC terminal from your base and rebuild it in the Freighter. The NPC should then give you new coordinates. We are still working on a more permanent fix for this issue).

- Previously it was possible to get Exosuit tech such as the life support stuck in the Starship inventory. Savegames with this bug present have now been fixed.

- To prevent players with mods installed from having their game break each time we update, we have introduced a new method for mod installation. For details please see the DISABLEMODS.TXT file in the \GAMEDATA\PCBANKS folder.
Hey guys,

Here's the changelog from the latest build on the experimental branch - 1506566

Fixed the bug that would make the player character small

Fixed the instantaneous death loop that could occur in survival mode if you saved with 1 health and no hazard protection. You will still be on the verge of death when you load in, but it won't happen instantaneously.

Fix for steam controller not being able to warp
