It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The nwvault has stopped working.
I tried to download some mods for NWN but now the link keeps going to neverwinter wiki.
It used to work until yesterday afternoon.
Won't let me post a link, but...

"You can modify your hosts file and add this line to it:

69.10.25.55 nwvault.ign.com

That allows me to still connect with a web browser."

"Editing hosts w/restart navigates fine back to the Vault just like it did without help a few days ago. (btw, on this machine, hosts file resides in folder root:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc for those who'd like to skip the file search). DL'd a few Vault files w/o issue."
This is a bit old, but could provide some insights as to what the cause is:

I just got onto NWN Vault, so it's not down.
The hosts file change does seem to work (though it won't for those using a network proxy that does its own DNS lookups), but given this isn't the first time NWVault has had such a problem, it seems likely that it is now in its last days.

A shame given how long it has lasted and a pity that IGN can't offer a more dignified ending.
Keep in mind work is ongoing for a new vault. I can't seem to link it so it is at

neverwintervault dot org

We'll migrate over when needed.

New(ish) posters are restricted from posting links but here's one for those interested:

Neverwinter Vault

Thanks for the pointer and good luck with the archiving. There's a huge amount of stuff on IGN that would be a tragedy to lose.

What mods in particular were you looking for? I might be able to help point you in the right direction.

I was just looking to see what I could find.
I was looking for modules that use the CEP or PRC.

Does anyone know of a mirror for the Darkness over Daggerford or HeX Coda modules?
I have daggorford. I will post it to the new vault asap.
That mod rocks. You get to hang out with Dwarves and explore a-spoiler alert! Seriously though it's a lot of fun.
Why do you need a mirror? Just fix the hosts file as mentioned and DL them from IGN's vault.

Sorry, but I need a little bit more detailed instructions then that.

I am very reluctant to mess around with any file in my systems folders unless I really know that I am dong.

If anybody could give me clearere instructions to get ot the IGN NWN vault, please post them here.
Okay, so here's what you want to do:

1. Open My Computer
2. Click on the C drive
3. Click on the Windows folder
4. Click on the System32 folder
5. Click on the drivers folder
6. Click on the etc folder
7. At this point you should see a file called "hosts" (without the quotes)
8. Open the file
9. Edit the hosts by adding "69.10.25.55 nwvault.ign.com" (without the quotes) at the bottom
10. Save the file
11. Restart browser (may be able to skip this step)
12. Should be good to go

If you're having trouble editing the hosts file I can send you a version to replace it via email.
