So am I.

and your assertion would still be incorrect if he/she wasn't, because you do not know their system setup.
Someone's system setup is irrelevant when it comes to establishing the DEP settings. Either the game needs an exception made for it or it doesn't. And it doesn't. No changes need to be made there at all in order to make it run, regardless of how a system is configured.

You're really making me wish they had an ignore function in these forums as it seems you're simply arguing for the sake of it. Obviously you're unwilling to admit when you're wrong.

Right. Then why bring up the Steam version?

Again you are missing the point. If the OP already has DEP set for all programs, then an exception has to be made. This is why I said you don't know the OP's system.

Feel free to ignore me, starting from now.

Read my posts please.

Again, read my posts. I have my DEP set for all programs because I had to due to the Steam versions of the Baldur's Gate games. There is a known issue that prevents them from starting otherwise. And I did not have to add an exception for Neverwinter Nights 2, which I downloaded from here, to make it run. Does that make things clear enough for you?
