Well, while this thread is up, I guess I'll ask my question.

I got my CD-key, but it looks encrypted. It's just a jumble of symbols in notepad, and I have no idea how to actually use it.
Thanks to whoever answers.

EDIT: Also, I have tried opening the file in 7zip, and I was unresponsive.

What have you tried in regards to the CD Key file GOG sent you?
Just an FYI for ya'll because I couldn't find this info anywhere and it was driving me nuts.
If you use GoG Galaxy to install the game, your nwncdkey.ini is in a different place.

Mine Was:
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\support\1207658890\1207658890\app\nwncdkey.ini

EEEEW!

Thanks for posting that, it will be very helpful to know.

I'd guess from now on I'll have folks use the search feature and seek file

nwncdkey.ini

for all gog installs.

Yeah it's a little weird. The file "goggame-galaxyfilelist.ini" in the root install folder listed the file path.
