I am aware that with Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition, the game comes with a glitch in the installation process, where the game installs to 100% and then stops. There is a file – a patch – that fixes this gitch. I used to have it but my hard drive was wiped clean and I need that patch file to play my Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition game. Can anyone tell me what the link to the patch is?

I am aware of no such Diamond Edition installation glitch, nor of any such patch. Do you suppose that if the installer was bugged in such a way that thousands upon thousands of people would be up in arms, or that GOG would not have issued a fixed installer? Where do you come by such nonsense?
Honestly, Bioware put this glitch fix on their own page, it's a legit thing that i have been through more than once.

Bioware have no connection to GOG's Diamond Edition installers. What you are saying, if it's true, has no relationship to GOG's files. Bioware would NEVER release a fix for a third party installer. Your information is wrong or confused.
I had no issue with the Gog installer either. If this is about the retail version, you could try browsing the old Bioware site via the Internet Archive.

Not quite what I was looking for, but that's the idea. I have been referring to the retail version. I didn't know the GOG version fixed the retail glitch.
Do I have that right? Did GOG.com fix the glitch that the retail version had for the Diamond Edition? I know I'm beating this topic into the ground, but I want to know if I should go the easy route and buy the Diamond Edition from GOG.com - avoid the compllication outright...?

I have read every topic in this forum and didnt see anyone describing a glitch you mentioned. And I installed NWN1 (gog version) on 5 or 6 computers (all mine) and never experienced such thing.
Sounds great! Thanks so much for your help - and I'm sorry I didn't do more research before positng my worries om this site!
Even if, for some weird reason, the Gog version wouldn't install on your pc, you'd still have 30 days to contact support and get a refund. https://www.gog.com/support/website_help/money_back_guarantee

Out of curiosity though: is this what you were looking for?

That's the same poster, posting the same question.

Fair enough. If the OP is really interested in the official Bioware patches, he/she should get them directly from Bioware, not some third party community patch. Here are the links:
