There are any NWN1 mod that allow you do manage your stronghold, go in missions to loot and sell the loot to improve constructions, defend your stronghold agaisnt hordes of enemies and etc? With different enemies, other's kingdoms invasions, undead invasions, "outsider"/demon invasions, etc?

hmm.. you can try the mod Good vs Evil -- this is where each side has its own NPC AI Demon/Angel army-- i think there are creeps, and you as player can go in and fight on either side as a champion. There more you kill, the more gold or points you get which you can spend to upgrade your army (and fortress also i think) -- best of all this is a team pvp mod-- so if you can serve the mod online, other players can join on either side as champions to lead the attacks.

iirc, it's a very good mod -- but im really not sure about the pvp balance. i suspect it lets any player put spells on items etc. this really imbalances and slos down team pvp. the other player cannot figure out what weird spell or ability combos you have bought with your amased gold etc. so it is probabl best for single player.

from my recall, many players in the past seemed to prefer team pvp with minimised changes to spell and items and character abilities.. if you feel like just fighting against real human players in teams (more like soccer or football) then try Bastions of War or maybe.. The Eternal War (Eternal War actually has AI NPCs fighting with you).

One thing that irked me with The Eternal War is that it required you to level up during the battle. I dont like levelling up or grinding. I want to play max level and enjoy all the abilities during the war. I also do not like taking time to buff all my spells again and again after dying. The Ternal War did not have an autobuffer for mages (neither does Bations actually). One of the few team pvp mods I know with an autobuffer is NWKnights- but this isn't being served right now. I cant recall if Good vs Evil has an autobuffer for mages.

Feel free to ask any questions.. ! Good vs Evil might be worth serving for team pvp but it needs a lot of work to strip out all the game breaking spell item abilities and give pvp balance.

edit--- yes, thanks to Taro below -- yes Good vs Evil is playable single player - in fact i played it over the weekend 3-4 times simgle player and really enjoyed it. sadly i think in PvP it maxes out at 1 v 1. So you cant do 10 v 10 -- it would then become DOTA - which would be great :)

i think there is a dota mod somewhere in nwnvault...

Thanks for the awnser but i wanna play a similar mode to crossroad keep, to be honest i don`t have anyone to play pvp///
Good VS Evil also supports singleplayer, you don't need to have anyone to play pvp with. ;)

I'm also thinking of introducing class/spell/feat modifications I've done in my own module to improve overall balance.

it would be truly awesome if Good vs Evil was made more than 1 v 1. Say 10 v 10 or 64 v 64.

just using the time machine--- here is a post from 2009 talking about how great nwn 1/2 would be if a dota mod was made.
https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/944424-demigod/49205706

funnily enough i think the first reference is to Good vs Evil mod itself. and the Level 12 reference.. it is to NWTactics mod, which is the precursor to the very excellent NWKNights team pvp mod, which presently is not being served (i think).

NWTactics-- i think had thieves and locked doors. Neither of these had creeps. But ya.. imagine Good vs Evil on 12 v 12 :)
(just take out the general mode, and leave the hero mode in :) = DOTA! )

The reason Good VS Evil still stands as an option while all other team PVP modules do not is because it offers similarly fun gameplay for 20 players, for 3 players, for 2 players and even for a single player. The community is not as large as it used to be, people participating in team PVP now is unlikely.

But at least Good VS Evil allows you o play "sort-of" team PVP with very few players. That's its strength, I think.
i decided to *try to* host and Good vs Evil v1 on nwn scry :]

anyone can join but your character must be level 20.

im afraid i havent edited the mod at all, so as a team pvp mod lots of weird and wacky things can happen >< try to play nice if you see other humans playing. ill try to keep an eye on people but i cant play all the time.

Name of server is Emerald Dream.

(report any problems back here if you can. im trying to fix a few bugs right now -.-)

ok just so everyone knows, you have to download and install the hakpak in your /hak/ directory in your game directory -.- .

i think people should be able to see the server and log in now.

Interesting! I'd like to chat with you regarding potentially balancing the Good VS Evil module, with which I think I could help. Sent you a friend request for that. :)

Never said it's a bad mod - in fact, it's one of my favorites - it's just that NWN's default rules are not suitable for PvP at all and Good VS Evil is no exception.

heh Taro is right :) Good vs Evil is too basic to be a durable team pvp (or just pvp) mod. it is still huge fun, but over time needs modding. For example, the spawn point can be easily camped. Also many spells are not balanced correctly lol. but its fun for new players because everyone is on the same level -- having fun trying out extents of powers. it;s like a new realm, with untested limits of magic-- much like when nwn itself was just born...

in the meantime, dms and modders have to scramble to try to balance the latest uber powerful spell, while players have a ball running around creating havic :) *misses early days of nwn*

What do you mean by camping spawn points?

If you are saying everyone can camp in their main base and protect it, then that won't work, because the enemies will conquer the unprotected shrines and the more shrines a team has, the more units it can summon, meaning the base protectors will be overpowered easily once their shrines are lost.

If you are saying they can camp next to enemy shrines, I don't think there's a point to that when they can be simply captured, which will bring more benefit to the team.

I think the biggest issue is class/spell balance and that's what I intend to take care of. :)

um.. well in team pvp.. i think most modders found players will try to bend the rules totally .. and often it isnt about the game... it sometimes gets to be just about tormenting other players... so once a match is almost won in G v E.. one side's players can just spam mind fog/stinking cloud/grease etc at spawn point and just kill whoever respawns repeatedly... and meanwhile maybe use the horn and keep the final enemy shrine alive just so they can repeat kill other players.... nobody plays nice in team pvp after a while.. that's why it becomes kind of fun... pvp human ingenuity maybe...
