I've not yet played Might and Magic VII but was seriously considering doing so soon. I wasn't sure what was compatible with what; thus, I assumed I could only have one mod active at a time. (If the stuff below is compatible, post it here!)

Looks like Ludwig's mod is built on top of Greyface's patch, for what it's worth.

I was curious whether Jeff Ludwig's mod worked with Greyface 2.0. Does it?

I'm not sure about 2.0 but the mod it self states it is built to work with Greyface's MM7 patch v1.61

Ludwig's mod does seem to work with Greyface 2.0.

I've just started a new game though, so if I run into any issues I'll post them here.

I went for BDJ's (Big Daddy Jim's) mod instead of Ludmeister's/Ludwig's mod since BDJ's seemed more comprehensive and not just a spawn mod. Lud's mod specifically said it was for those who "loved" the MM7 combat and lots of respawns. I wasn't confident this was for me on my first time.

What do these mods do exactly? Is Grayface a mouse look mod?

Greyface fixes a number of bugs, graphical issues and allows for mouselook. If you install it, read through the Patch Notes and he links the registry file to activate mouselook (there is also one for MM8) and he also provides mm7.ini settings.

I honestly played before patches existed, but this seems to be pretty criticial. And the mouselook is great. GREAT! I mean its unplayable without mouselook now.

I got greyface 2.0 and it works well, I'm on windows 10. Ludwig's mod supposedly works with greyface and the GOG version of the game. However, when I tried Ludwig's mod I was asked to insert the disk. Strange that no one else has mentioned this.
