Whenever I attempt to run the game I get the following error message:
MM6.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (oxc0150002).
I'm having this problem running in vista 64, I've already tried running as administrator and various compatibility modes and a quick google search told me nothing useful. Any ideas on where to even begin?

thelovebat: Nah, the main reason that I installed the patch was just because its supposed to help with bug fixes and stuff, and allows you to auto-run without using the shift key. I thought you'd be able to skip the intro with or without the patch, I played MM6 on an XP machine before with no problems (the Might & Magic millenium edition version).

You're right, i somehow mixed up the issues, sorry about that.
You managed to get the sound working ?
Someone having the same problem solved it by following this combination of steps
1) Apply Patch: Copy Sounds->Music, edit MM6.ini -> playMP3=1
2) Run the game once, via MM6 (no gogwrap) as Administrator. Wait until intro vids finish (can't skip).
3) Attempting to load a game crashes MM6. So start a new one. (still no music!)
4) Save a game, any name will do. And Quit.
5) MM6 now runs as Admin with or without gogwrap, loads saves and has music. (*Only* works for me if a save was made in step 4)

I shall have to try this and see if it works. I'll have to unistall the game, then re-download and install it though. A bit of a pain but eh, its worth it. Wish that gog would fix it instead though.
