In the latest update, a mod manager has been added to the main game menu. You can now install mods by adding them to the following folder:

Windows:
C:\Users\<insert username>\Documents\My Games\Megaquarium\Mods

OSX:
Application Support/Megaquarium/Mods

Linux:
$XDG_DATA_HOME/.local/share/Megaquarium/Mods

To celebrate we have created a new fish for everyone to enjoy - the Nurse Shark. You can download it here:

Are you going to discount like on Steam? I'll jump through the hoops for GOG.
Thank you!

Discord link is expired, apparently, but the Nurse Shark is still up.
I'm pretty much lost were to find MODS... do I have to read all the Discord stuff ?!

I was expecting some library were people can upload/download them, something like https://www.moddb.com/

It's really difficult to find MODS right now :(

EDIT:

Seems like all the MODS are on STEAM WORKSHOP :(

I found this site to download them from there even if you don't own the game on STEAM:

Hi all I was wondering exactly how to install mods for gog so I have a few questions.
1. The folder is named Mods correct
2. Do the mods in the "Mods" folder stay zipped.
3. Which sub folder does the "Mods" folder go in?
Thanks in advance.

For 1. and 3. the answer is written in the post you quoted
2. no, they must be uncompressed and stay in their own folder

Example:

C:\Users\<insert username>\Documents\My Games\Megaquarium\Mods\StrangeFishMod\
C:\Users\<insert username>\Documents\My Games\Megaquarium\Mods\BlackTurtle\
C:\Users\<insert username>\Documents\My Games\Megaquarium\Mods\RedHerring_With_Hat\

I made a new folder named "Mods" then unzipped each individual mod so it was in it's own folder in the Mods folder then I put the folder in the Megaqurium folder and still no mods showed up. What did I miss?

Be sure to put the Mods folder in your user path, and NOT in the game installation path.

Except for this, I don't know what could be wrong.

Not sure if I know the difference. It was easier to get the mods working for both Xcom and Civ 4 What am I missing.
The difference is the path...

The game installation path is something like:
C:\Program Files\Megaquarium

The user folder path is something like:
C:\users\<your username>\Documents\My Games\Megaquarium

The Mods goes in the last one.

I found the Mods folder in the my games path and put all the individual mod folders there but the mods still don't show up in the mod manager in the game. What should I do now?
I don't know, maybe post a screenshot of the content of one of the mods folder, maybe there's something wrong inside
