i was wondering if anybody knows if the gog version of Kingdom Rush has the same patches/fixes as the one on steam?
just a rudimentary look at the file details shows the gog version as 4.3.3.30826 while the steam one is 4.5.1.153090

i realize they might be different build branches so version numbering might not be in sync even if they are the same content-wise.

reason i'm asking is because i've been browsing gog threads and there seem to be quite a few games that don't have up-to-date patches or content on gog while the one on steam gets all the good up-to-date stuff.

Yes, the GOG and Steam versions are the same, the devs have been pretty good with maintaining both versions. Here are the latest changelogs from GOG and Steam, you can see they're both at the same place from the most recent update, a few days ago.

i appreciate the reply, but the posted changelog that you link to is for KR:Frontiers, not the original Kingdom Rush that i was asking about.
probably my fault that i didn't make it more clear that i was referring to the first Kingdom Rush.

still, thanks for the link, since i also wanted to make sure the steam and gog versions of KR:Frontiers are the same as well, before i bought it on gog too.

Whoops, my fault, you did mention the original Kingdom Rush. Steam does have a different patch because it includes cloud saving, and a fix for sound problems that was introduced with the cloud saving patch:
