katakis: Right-click on target. Keep clicking.
Actually, -I don't know about the other games but- in JA: Deadly Games, it's Right-click once, then Left-click to lock on, THEN keep right-clicking. At that point, the more times you click, the higher the chance of you hitting the target (until you reach the maximum number -which is a number in red; which means 100% best shot that the character will be able to do).

Rusty_OHara: Such an awesome game, was back then, still is now.

It's so bloody frustrating though. Never seem to have enough AP, my mercs couldn't hit the side of a barn from 10 feet (even prone and 99 acc) and get stuck in frefights too much.

Just watched a guy run over half a dozen squares, then unload a machinegun in my guys face, then run back half a dozen squares and nip round the corner.

Sigh

Andy_Panthro: You always have to fight battles depending on the mercs and weapons you have.

If you have longer-range rifles, you want to be in the open in daylight.

If you have shorter-range SMGs, you want to get NVGs, silencers and attack at night!

I tend to go the long range route, I like my sniper rifles (and start by getting Ruger Mini-14s).

A lot of people seem to prefer sneaking around in the dark though.

That's the best part of this game, the variety of tactics!
I usualy have a sneaky/sniper team. IMP+Blood with throwing knifes go through in the night time, while Raven (Scope, Lynx...) cover from a long way away. Even if the snipers dont see the target (the sneak team sees them), then can get great headshots from safety while not revealing the position of the sneak team :)
