Hello, I thought it would be nice to play a 20 year old game (it was developed before then, so it's probably as old as I am), and I FINALLY got all the needed files. I'll upload the necessary additions you'll need (and even more, including DirectX even though I don't use it, nor do I like it), and you'll be all good.

If for whatever reason, my glide additions / folders, files in the root folder for the game, don't get it working, let me know, I'll help.

Also, I figured out the frame limiting stuff, use RivaTuner Statistics Server, (go download rivatuner) it's a **VERY** old program, but it's STILL used by EVGA Precision and maybe some others, because it just WORKS!! If it's not working, then restart your computer--I tried exting the program (evga GPU settings) / exiting Explorer.exe, etc, just restart the entire computer. It's completely worth it.

So, I'll throw the additions up on google drive, for everyone to download. Also, all the files look clean, and I was going to download the latest "voodoo" zip folder, but the x.54 version, firefox said it contained malware, so I got the version just before that, and it didn't complain. So, I was cautious with all the files, and it doesn't look like I have any malware!

I run the game at 24 FPS right now, but I'll play with 30 and higher settings. You'll have to play with the glide settings yourself--and you need to run it from the shortcut icon in the Interstate 76 program files folder, all the stuff you need, needs to be in there! I'm posting the modified shortcut as it allows you to add a command which I added "-glide". This puts it in the glide rendering setting, and it looks A LOT better than the default settings.

If you have any issues, post them, as I think I've covered everything, but I'll also post all my glide settings as well if you've not found the lucky combination.

I'll update or submit a new post once the upload is ready, but for everyone wanting to play a 20 year old game, I figured I'd do this right for everyone.

Edit: I can't post links, and was thinking about posting a picture, but I'd rather not get banned. Maybe I can send a message, or the mods will let it through.

I can also add a link (once allowed) to share where I got all the glide 3d stuff, but it will have to wait. All the files (EXCLUDING major game data) have been added to the cloud, so when I can add the share link, we can all enjoy the game as it was intended.

Thank you. This sounds most helpful. I will download once it becomes available.
As far as I can tell, Firefox thinking dgVoodoo 2.54 is a virus, is just an anomaly. Feel free to Google it. :)

dgVoodoo wraps (and therefore "interferes") with some low-level OS stuff, and can worry the more paranoid anti-virus scanners.

Every now and then a version will get flagged by something. AFAIK, that's never amounted to anything.

Now, if real anti-virus scanners (rather than just Firefox) start seeing real virus problems with dgVoodoo (other than "what is this it looks weird?") then it'd be time to worry. :)

All post IMO, AFAIK.

You can post links if you take out the symbols. For example: www DOT google DOT com. With more forum rep, you can post actual links.

I'd be very interested to get all these files, since I've been meaning to replay the game for a while. I don't know exactly what you've collected, but way back when this game was first released on GOG there was a fan-made launcher going around, which I downloaded before it disappeared. I'd be happy to share that if it's helpful.

I also saw that someone posted a fan patch to slow the game down so the physics works properly in the Groovin' Workaround Thread recently. Might be useful if you don't have it yet:

I cannot submit links to this forum yet, but it's on the cloud, ready to go! Once I can post links I'll submit a post with the actual attachment, sorry for the insane delay. This is quite an awkward game to get running and you have to have the things I mentioned, and luckily it looks better than trying to run it without all that stuff. I wish games like this were updated, had a bit more demand, it's very fun.

Hello,

I'm very sorry for the half year of waiting (or more). I've posted the link to a person in chat, who should then post it in the forum. I hope you all are then able to enjoy the game. Post if you have any questions or need help running the game properly.

Thank you!
It's weird. Last year, I had the game running just fine using Wine (Linux' Windows emulator) and the Glide version, no physics glitches at all. This week, I had to reinstall the game to re-obtain the registry keys (the old installation folder remains the same though, all saves and etc are there). Now, I'm getting the "wobbly wheels" problem like I never see before. Exactly the same hardware, the same setup, and the game refuses to work. I tried DxWnd, the physics only works when the game gets unbearably slow (8 FPS) and turns into a slideshow (controls unresponsive too).
