Hey guys, OP here. After re-downloading and re-installing the game with all the new gibberlings3 patches that came out (Fixpack v4, tweak pack v13, unfinished business v6 and widescreen mod), I started a new game and did the GETYOURCHEATON warp to area6001, and it works fine.

I've since started a new game and played up to wyrm's tooth with a new party, and nothing is wrong. Weird problem. I don't know what caused it, but my guess is that it was a bad download. I dunno.

Good luck to everyone still working on it. Apparently I wasn't alone.

Hey OP - thanks for the update. I've grown quite fond of my party and can't be bothered to create a new one!

I've sent a support request to GOG staff and will post here if I receive a solution (without having to go through the process or starting from scratch).
Just to let anyone else know that GOG support has resolved this.

Here's how it worked for me:

- I sent them my save game folder
- GOG support checked it, entered the cave, saved and emailed it back to me.
- I copied the GOG save game into the IWD mpsave directory
- Started the game and then selected new (GOG) save

I can now exit and re-enter the cave at will.

If anyone has a similar issue, I recommend they follow this process. I'm assuming this can also be resolved by the forum community.
I have exactly the same problem - will someone take my save and fix this for me? (pretty please? :) )

I'm having the exact same problem in the same area. I can't enter Dorn's Deep. Even if I use the cheat to enter the area, the game locks up.

I also tried starting a new game with a pre-generated character and using GETYOURCHEATON:MoveToArea("AR6001"). Same effect, so it's not related to my party or my saved game.

Orcs and goblins bite me! I fixed the issue.

For some reason I had iwdfixpack-v3.exe installed; I double-checked on gibberlings3 website and downloaded iwdfixpack-v4.exe[1]. After reinstalling with the new patch, I could enter the new area.

I'll also have to try reinstalling the fixpack... although i already have the v4, if i'm not totally mistaken.

There you go.. Although I advise caution (meaning make a backup save ^^). My IWD1 is unmodded. Dunno if and when what of this fact might affect the savegame. Also I did not look at the savegame with NI, I just loaded, entered, saved, shut the game down.

This one's totally on me. Fixpack v3 corrupts ar6001, which is why I rushed out v4.

Thanks for your effort, but gog support beat you by some hours :)
One strange thing though: my mage had a returning dagger on her, which is gone in the fixed save... well, a small trade-off.

I just checked, I do have the "old" v3 installed - should I install the v4, even after my crashing issue has been fixed?

Areas are stored in the save game, so if you're playing on a save that's already visited and it works, you're fine. You will, however, encounter the same issue for any new/saved game that has not visited the area yet.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind and update my game before I start a new run.
Well, since you can't enter the area in the first place the area should not be in the save. Anyway, you can also just delete the area out of your savegame with Near Infinity. I attached a screenshot that illustrates the... procedure... :D
