Tech
- Fixed several crashes associated with Multiplayer. If other issues persist, please report them with details regarding the number of players, what the players were doing and the game mode.
- Fixed an issue with Mastery Pets becoming unsummoned when swapping equipment that boosts the rank of the associated skill. Pets becoming unsummoned when increasing the rank of the skill in the mastery itself is intended.
- Fixed a bug where reputation earned notifications would not appear.
- Quest notifications will now word wrap on smaller resolutions.

Major New Features
- The game engine has received a major overhaul to its renderer, allowing the game to run on DirectX11. While results will vary from system to system, this will generally result in improved performance.

Game
- Rare Crafting Materials (ex. Blood of Ch'thon) can now be placed in the Transfer Stash.
- Adjusted overall loot tables scaling with level. They now drop significantly less Common and Single Affix items as player level increases. This change also applies to the Crucible.
- Increased drop rate of Rare items at all levels, scaling with game difficulty. This works in conjunction with above. Not only will less Single Affix items drop, but more of the Double Affix items will have at least one Affix of Rare Quality. Rare item drop rates remain unchanged in the Crucible.
- Improved results from Random Crafting Blueprints. They will no longer generate single affix items. Items that roll a Rare affix will instead roll a Rare Affix + Magic Affix. To prevent quest progress issues which have been occuring for some users with out of date translation files, this patch resets the in-game language for all users to English. As soon as updated language files are posted by the community translators they will once again be available for download via the in game menu.

- Raise Skeleton: updated the way skeletons scale with their equipped weapons. Previously, their weapons represented a sizeable portion of their damage, which made the skill tooltip misleading for their actual damage and made their damage (particularly for archers) scale a bit too well in the early levels. We adjusted them so that the weapons now represent a negligible bonus and their damage is more predictable, their base damage has been scaled up with rank to compensate. In addition, Skeletons will no longer sometimes do partial Pierce damage due to having Pierce ratio sometimes appearing on their weapons. This has no impact on Skeletons benefiting from flat damage bonuses such as an auras. As this is a pretty dramatic change to the way their damage scales, we will continue to playtest and monitor this skill and may make further changes in the future to make sure their tuning is appropriate.
- Updated aggression of ranged Skeleton summons to behave more like their melee counterparts

Major New Features

The casting mechanic for all skills has been updated to be much more responsive. Casting a skill will now make the character cast it immediately in the targeted direction rather than forcing the character to run up to the skill's casting distance. If you prefer the classic casting mechanic, you can toggle it back in the game options.
Grim Dawn controller implementation has been completely overhauled with a redesigned control scheme as well as new controller exclusive UI. Controller skill usage as well as movement has been made to be more responsive. Steam Controller users will find a new recommended controller configuration.
Non-Steam Controller users will want to reset their keybindings in game to get the new recommended keybindings.

Crucible

Ashes of Malmouth Monster Infrequents and Rare Materials can now drop in the Crucible.

Art

Male and Female models have been visited by a tailor, with major tweaks to numerous armor models and textures:
All Shoulders have been resized to better fit torsos with improved, tighter alignment and numerous texture tweaks for improved color/brightness balance.
All Feet have been resized to better fit legs, with improved proportions, several feet textures tweaked as well.
Tweaks to several helmet models/textures to improve color/brightness balance and texture sharpness.
Several textures tweaks on leg armor for improved color balance and tighter texture sharpness.
Several tweaks to misc. shields for improved normal map details, specular and color balance/sharpness.

Animation

Fixed a discrepancy between Pick-Up animation speeds between different weapon types. Two-Handed melee weapons and Dual-Ranged weapons had a slower pick-up speed than intended.

Fixed a bug where extra pets would follow the player incorrectly when the player had more than 6 pets.
Added "Ultra" shadow quality option.
Fixed an issue where Forcewave would cause the game to crash in combination with certain items converting its damage.

Itemization

The disparity between heavy and caster/light armor has gotten a bit too large with the increased level cap, though it won't hurt to bring them closer together at low levels as well. To address this, all light and caster armor pieces have had their armor values significantly increased. If you find a Heavy armor that had its armor increased, or a Light/Caster armor that did not, please report it as a bug.
Dismantling now has a chance to generate Ashes of Malmouth rare crafting materials. The chance increases at level 90+.
Increased the overall drop rate of Ashes of Malmouth rare crafting materials from bosses and heroes.

The above fixes necessitated some adjustments to loot tables. Overall, drop rates of Monster Infrequents (with affixes) will end up a little higher and those drops will more frequently roll Rare affixes. If something feels off, we will make adjustments as needed in future updates so drop rates feel appropriately rewarding.
Fixed level 50-75 Legendary set shoulders having lower armor than intended.
Relic - Haunt: further reduced Leech Resist Reduction to -8%. The Aether/Vitality Resist Reduction effects already make this a very competitive relic, especially for its tier.

Deathchill Beacon: increased freeze chance on its basic attack. Cold Surge upgrade now slows and reduces Resistances by -10%/-15% instead of freezing enemies.
Stormcaller Beacon: now reduces All Resistance with each attack, but for a reduced duration. The Shock upgrade now also reduces Defensive Ability on the affected targets.
Fixed an issue where Monster Infrequents significantly below the player's level could drop.

Game

Increased maximum number of times the game will attempt to reroll an already learned Blueprint or a Unique item previously dropped in the current session from 5 to 10.
Bosses that have a bonus chance to drop a Blueprint now have an expanded pool for those Blueprints and a higher chance to drop them.
Updated several Ashes of Malmouth bosses to have a bonus chance to drop Blueprints
The "A Wake of Carnage" Achievement now requires 50000 monster kills

Fixed an issue where Grava'Thul would cast an invisible ability that dealt damage and reduced resists for several seconds. He now correctly casts his Wing Gust, which is actually telegraphed and not invisible. Further reduced the frequency of his charge skill, reduced his base run speed and reduced the duration his Annihilation Orb follows you.

Itemization

Further adjustment to chest loot tables of all qualities to compensate for the increased loot pool in Ashes of Malmouth. Overall, unique items will be dropping more consistently. This increase was more significant for non-boss chests.
Weapons and Accessories can now roll Magic-quality flat Vitality damage prefixes.
Adjusted Physique Requirements on Torso, Leg and Waist armor. Adjusted Spirit Requirements on Head and Torso caster armor. Overall, the requirements are a little lower, particularly at higher levels. (Affects Ashes of Malmouth only)
