It's a Christmas miracle!? As my wife rushes about to try to get the children ready to go to my mother's, I'm furiously typing away trying to get the build out and bust out this change log, it's quite a scene... I apologize for various things that have gone awry in the past builds, honestly, it's mostly my fault and I attribute at least some of it to my brain being scrambled these past couple weeks between everything going on here at Crate plus the impending holiday madness. Hopefully this should mostly address current build issues, at least to an extent that everyone can resume enjoying the game and we can pick up with any remaining fine-tuning needed in the new year.

Major New Features
- Alkamos in the Steps of Torment and Shar'Zul in the Bastion of Chaos can now drop new Legendary versions of their unique equipment on Elite and Ultimate difficulties.
- Weapon tooltips now display an Attacks per Second value instead of a "speed" tag (ex. Fast / Very Slow / etc)
- The character sheet now displays an Attacks per Second value modified by all speed bonuses and penalties

- Updated the difficulty curve such that the jump between difficulties is not as extreme. Difficulty now scales more with player level so that Elite and Ultimate naturally become harder as the player's power increases, resulting in a smoother progression overall. Note that there is still an increase in challenge when moving up to Elite or Ultimate, but it is no longer as severe.
- Slightly reduced Nemesis boss Offensive Ability
- Slightly reduced Physical damage dealt by monsters on Ultimate difficulty
- Fixed an issue with Steps of Torment Achievements involving Alkamos.

- Auras granted by Components have been converted to self buffs. This was done in response to the rare issues reported in regards to those auras killing players in Multiplayer (particularly in Hardcore mode). While this is not an ideal solution, unfortunately this issue has eluded us for too long to the detriment of the players. Our programmers had spent extensive periods of time digging in the code without any repro to lead them to the probable cause (despite the community trying to contribute as much info as possible), and though we had made changes as recently as 1.0.0.7 with the hope of addressing the issue, it has persisted. As this change is detrimental to pet builds, these skills now also give pet bonuses. Should this bug persist with other auras granted by items, we will take similar action on them in a future update.
- A pass has been done on Magical Affix drop tables to remove less desirable affixes from the loot pool in order to improve loot quality while levelling. As most of those affixes were already disabled at higher levels (50+), this will have little to no impact at max level. This change is not retroactive. If you already have an item with one of these affixes, it will remain unchanged.
- Fixed an issue that caused certain rare affixes to not be generated on various two-handed weapons

- Epic - Alazra's Ruby: replaced % Increased Fire Resist with 50% Fire Resist

This proc has always been a bit of a niche, but as other options already exist via itemization for more hybrid pet summoning builds, it seemed better to focus Raise the Dead to be an option for direct damage builds that like the idea of having pets around but not necessarily excel at them. Damage may require further refinement, but the skeletons are now harder to kill, move faster and last longer.

Gazerman now gazes at you at all times as you play, but always just off camera.
Nemesis monsters will now pursue your character into the main menu.

Constitution now actively drains while the character moves, attacks or speaks to NPCs. If it reaches zero, the character starves to death.
Untouched meals now have a random change to belong to one of the NPC factions and eating it will reduce your standing with that faction.
Increased consequences from Choice and Consequence quests by 22.3%.
Starting a character in Hardcore Mode now requires the player to defeat their previous Hardcore characters. There can only be one...
Cronley's outlaws now taunt the player 50% more frequently. Hey you!

[Itemization]

Two Handed Weapons can now use up to 3 Components.
Components can no longer be applied to weapons.
Ancient Hearts, Blood of Ch'thon and Tainted Brain Matter can no longer drop and are instead crafted from Manticore Eyes.
Chipped Claws are now extra chipped and require 10 partial Components to assemble.
Legendary Items have been rebalanced to provide more Spirit and Cunning rather than the comparably uninteresting attributes such as Offensive Ability, Resist Reduction and Health.
Monster Infrequents seem to be dropping a little too often. Rather than reducing their drop rates we have simply renamed them to Monster Frequents.
Mythical Relics have been removed from the game in order to maintain their mythical status.


[Class & Skills]

Due to significant class changes, players must now go through a 6 hour training session with Sahdina the Spirit Guide before they can select their first skill point.


Devotion

Celestial Power activation chance now scales with the monetary donations you make to the respective celestial being.
Devotion Shrines are now gluten free.


Soldier

Cadence % Weapon Damage has been increased to 10000%, but now requires 100 charges to trigger.
Increased the force applied by Forcewave.
Counter Strike now toggles an FPS mode. You must have a ranged weapon equipped.
Scars of Battle now increases ruggedness by 50%.


Demolitionist

Due to balance concerns, the Demolitionist Mastery has been removed. Any characters currently using the Demolitionist Mastery will be compensated 1000000 iron bits for the loss of skills.


Occultist

Hellhounds now scale with the player's feelings.
Summon Familiar now destroys walls with its basic attack.
Doombolt now informs your target of the exact moment they will die.
Possession now disables control of your character until it expires.


Nightblade

Phantasmal Blades now pass through ghosts.
Pneumatic Breath must now be recast regularly to prevent suffocation.
Shadow Strike cooldown has been removed, but the ability now only functions when standing in a shadow.
Anatomy of Murder now requires a medical degree.


Arcanist

Aether Ray now requires 5 episodes to charge up.
Devastation now requires a staff to cast.
Olexra's Flash Freeze now deals bonus damage to nearby plants.

PART I of II

[Major New Features]

This update is primarily intended to bridge fixes and character data in preparation for Grim Dawn's first expansion. The patch includes an update to the save format as well as various quality of life improvements and adjustments to the early game.
Due to the changes in save format, characters played in V1.0.1.0 will not be compatible with earlier versions of the game.
Debuff Status Effect Icons have been updated on the player HUD. They now display the Debuff's effect, value and the remaining duration. Debuff Effects that previously only appeared on the player visually now also have Debuff Icons.
Owners of the Loyalist Edition now have access to two ferocious new helms: the Pillager's Dread Helm and the Helm of the Venerable Warrior. Both can be accessed through Kory the Keeper in Devil's Crossing. Future purchases of the Loyalist Edition now also include these helms.

Updated difficulty decription tooltips for the Crucible.
