Is anyone else having problems with graphical tearing and slow downs? When I run with 20% distance it runs okay with some minimal tearing but if I turn the view distance up I get severe slow down with or without vsync forced on - tried running on a single core and patched the game all up, still no go. Sucks because I had the game when it came out and it ran like a pro on my amd thunderbird with a geforce 2 back in the day even with ini tweaks to make it look better.

Is your dual-core an AMD DualCore (X2),? If yes, I read in a French forum that you might have to patch it (http://www.gothic-univers.fr/index.php?showtopic=2302&st=0&p=14950&#entry14950).

No I use an Intel Core 2 Extreme... I've heard on the World of Gothic website that Nvidia cards on windows 7 don't work with Gothic 1 or 2 with no fix as of yet. Sorry to hijack the thread ;)
