See I'm not the only one, this was a nightmare. I played for around four hours before dying.
The game cuts to the intro and starts again, so I thought it might be a rare bug, then it didn't even save on leaving.

My hours long save I died on was erased by the restart..

Kind of just made me P***d off with the game.

This could have been fixed years ago.

By the way, GOG only shows me the download the previous version (1.1.8B3, not 1.1.8B4). I have tried this from different browsers. I'm not sure if this happens to anyone else. Will GOG not update the download version if you had bought the game before?
