And yes, I'd love to take part in the next round and perhaps other ones too :) Since I don't know German, could you or someone else guide me a bit on how I should proceed with that? I know there's a dedicated thread for every round, but not sure what the next steps are :D
Leroux: With the help of DeepL I produced
a quick translation of the current contest's OP containing the rules. Take it with a grain of salt, it might be a bit overwhelming at first, but most of it is tongue-in-cheek, with a few puns that might not translate that well. The short version with the important bits is just:
1. You announce that you would like to participate (as you've already done here).
2. You send me a link to a song of your choice that you'd like to nominate, via PM (I should have it by Sunday, if possible, because that's our current deadline). In this round the theme is food (or drinks), and the idea is that I would be able to list all songs in the form of a menu. So ideally, your song should contain something to eat or drink in the title.
But the main condition is that I could fit it on a menu, so, to give some silly examples, if your song does not contain something like "Pizza" or "Pear" or "Beer" etc., but it has "Pockets" in it or "Gluten", you might still be able to convince me that I could list it as "(Hot) Pockets" or under "Allergens". ;) So there is some wiggle room (even though you should be able to find plenty of songs with actual food in the title.)
Then, once the voting phase starts, next week, I'll post a list of all nominated songs and you'll have three weeks to listen to them and post your votes, Eurovision Song Contest style, like this (example from the last round with the theme of "Time"):
