KADC: Like many of the others who have posted, the beta version of Galaxy was forced on me and for the life of me I cannot understand why you would push beta software as an update. Now all my tags are gone just like the others here and some of those tags were important for organizing my library.
Well said, it IS infuriating. Playnite is an alternative in case you're looking for one.

Now all my tags are gone just like the others here and some of those tags were important for organizing my library such as "completed", "replay", "took a break", "mod first", and "play Steam version" to name a few of the more useful ones in addition to genre and rating tags.

Moreover, the last time I beta tested software I was paid to do so, so please tell me who to contact with an invoice for my services since you're so keen to contract me that you forced a beta version onto my computer without my consent.
If you haven't seen it yet, there is a way to revert:

Thanks for that. Hopefully that will restore the missing tags (other's have posted that they're stored in a separate online database) but at least I won't have to deal with the other Galaxy 2.0 beta problems even if I don't get my tags back.

I must admit to being surprised at the hoops we need to jump through to restore 1.2 (not looking forward to re-importing all my GOG games) and prevent this unwanted not-upgrade from reoccurring (physically delete the Galaxy update program). I'm also surprised that, as far as I'm aware of, there's been no public remedy, apology, or even simple recognition of what they've done from GOG who don't seem to care about the community goodwill they've burned.

March 2021 - still no import of all the custom tags I had in 1.2 and that are still on the website.

Frustrated.

Same... I've used Galaxy 1.0 for a long time due to this, but at some point it updated itself to 2.0 and this keeps me away from it.
For this reason (Galaxy 2.0 - don't synchronized created tags by my own) I'm still using Galaxy 1.2 revision.
Its pretty ridiculous. It can't possibly be that hard of a thing to implement. I'm starting to think they
aren't even going to fix it. There isn't any point buying stuff on Gog if I can't keep it organized.

Same here!

The fact that this has been an issue for over 2 years now even though the existing data is there for them to use, and yet they still haven't addressed it is both disappointing and frustrating.
Tags are removed for me too. It happened today just a while ago.
Will it be fixed?
Have a read to this forum thread from Galaxy Client to know how to still use your old TAGs and the old library interface:

GOG GALAXY 2.0 discussion / [HOW TO] Use GOG Galaxy 2.0 with the old 1.2 interface

For some reason the links I post are opened externally from the client...

It's been FOUR+ years now and GOG still did NOTHING about this HUGE problem.

I can't believe they still haven't fixed this. There is no point in buying from gog if I can't keep my games organized.
