After some time (maybe 45 mins to several hours) running GOG Galaxy 2.0, the entire GOG Galaxy window goes blank, except for the standard traffic-light close/minimise/full-screen buttons. The only solution I've found is to quit and restart the application.

It's been happening since I first downloaded the GOG Galaxy 2.0 closed beta in Nov 2019 and it persists up to the current release, Version 2.0.52 (96). I've reported it directly to GOG multiple times. I've never actually watched it happen because I'm typically doing other stuff in other apps, so maybe it doesn't happen while GOG Galaxy is the active window.

I notice there are a lot of logs in /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs . I've had a brief scan of some of them but I don't know what sort of messages I should be looking out for. I've just started GOG Galaxy up to reproduce the problem, so If somebody can tell me which logs are relevant, I can link to them here when the bug has occurred again and give an approximate time range to check.

Note a couple of idiosyncrasies in my GOG setup: I run the app and all game executables from an external HDD, with a symlink to the GOG client in my Applications folder on my internal SSD. However this bug also occurs if I run the client and library off the internal SSD, and has persisted across multiple computers and releases of macOS.

I am seeing the exact same issue. I have to force quit the app when it starts happening. Really annoying. I've learned to actively quit the app as soon as I am done playing.

macOS 14.4.1 on an M3 Macbook Air. GOGG 2.0.73.

Edit: I can see its also a problem on Windows, but the solution they have is not possible on newer Macs of course, as they say one has to update GPU drivers.

This has been happening to me, too. Additionally, whenever an update comes out for Galaxy, I have to uninstall/reinstall the whole client. I am on an M2 MB Air.
Same here I have an M3 pro and I've had consistently to kill the client with Activity Monitor (the mac equivalent of task manager) and reopen in order to ut GOG Galaxy. I'm not sure what would be repro steps for this.

Here are mine to the best of my recollection:
- Install GOG (currently 2.0.77) on macos (currently running 15.0 but was happening since 14)
- Install a few games, use computer for other stuff, forget about client
- Client is now a big blank grey box (without even close window buttons etc)

A few observations:
- The client updater usually fails to install new updates, I install a new version from scratch as a workaround
- Closing the client is also an issue, the client not closing most of the time, I force kill the process from Activity Monitor as a workaround
Probably another manifestation of the "Force Quit" issue…

Incredible that this is still an issue two years later.
