As the title says. Sorry if it's been adressed before, I tried searching the forum, but no matter the word combination I used I got 'returned 0 topics' message.
I want to go back to the interface that doesn't hurt my eyes, please. How do I do that?
https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/how_to_keep_galaxy_v12_client_and_avoid_the_forced_v20_beta_update

It's discussed in a number of topics, but that's the best "main" topic with instructions.

Ah, thank you! *restores 1.2* This is so much better! Many thanks.
Now that I scrolled manually through forum topics I saw several of the posts you've mentioned - I find it bizzarre that the search function didn't point me to even single one of them...
Forum search functions are often terrible. Steam's forums have one of the best search functions I've seen and even there, obvious search terms are missed all over the place. It's usually better to use a search engine and filter to the forum site you're wanting to search than it is to actually use the forum search tool.
WELL.
I followed the instructions, and yesterday good old Galaxy worked just fine.
However, today it refuses to start. No matter if I try shortcut or the exe file itself, nothing happens.

I guess I won't be using Galaxy anymore at all. And since this is how I always found new games on gog, I guess I won't be buying from them anymore either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just checked and mine is still working correctly. It is possible a file got damaged somewhere along the way. You could try reinstalling, maybe? It's possible that will fix it.

I have the updater files blocked thru my firewall rather than deleting them. In my case, what I needed to do was open up Task Manager and end the task for the GalaxyUpdater. Then you should be able to open up Galaxy.
